POLITICAL discussions should go there.

Now, when nunn was the only mod, ths wasn't a problem one way or the other, it only became one when you were foisted to the high and mighty position.
You didn't answer any of my questions or address any of my concerns. That's NOT doing your job! You locked it and ran away.

Why not dump the "Politics" forum and move the whole thing to "General Discussion" - that might add some furor and flavor to both??

Please note the word "other" which means topics OTHER than those for which there are specific forums. If EVERYTHING goes in GD why did nunn set up the politics forum?

Exactly, GENERAL as in general, non-specific. Politics is specific and there is a specific forum for these topics.

I do use it quite frequently. Once in awhile it is nice to allow people that DON"T use pol. forum the opportunity to have presented to them new, useful info. Sometimes it shocks me the replies, things people didn't know. For instance, don't you think everybody should know if a candidate is pro gun, strongly pro gun, or anti? We talk about it all the time over there, but you post it over here, and there are several "I didn't know that" replies.0 -
My question was, It's an election year, probably the most important one ever. Why can't we have any political discussion in here where the most people will contribute, and if it turns stupid/bad, then move it?

I have answered this question 20 times. We don't need to discuss political issues, no matter how urgent you think they are, in GD because we have a forum for such topics. Anyone who is interested will go to that forum to find such topics. Posting them in GD doesn't guarantee more people will read the messages. 0 -

Your comments are complete horsepoop. Sorry if the most outspoken trolls over there hate Ron Paul. You're telling me you don't consider 30 a troll? The man is such a slap tard I don't even bother reading his posts anymore.
TRFOX isn't a troll and I doubt many consider him one and he doesn't like Ron Paul. Tallcharlie has some very good posts and isn't a Ron Paul supporter. That is just a few off the top of my head. I respect both, however strongly disagree with their views.

I don't make the rules, either, and I didn't set up the Politics forum. I work within the existing framework set up by someone in Admin. Someone else wrote the rules, too. All we moderators do is try enforce them. 0 -
