Super Bowl
After the Super Bowl, the politicians did their usual thing of calling teams for congratulations. This year, President Bush called the New England Patriots' locker room and congratulated them on a hard fought game and said that he understood how they felt after fighting so hard for such a close win.
About the same time, Al Gore called the Carolina Panthers' locker room and congratulated them on such a hard fought game and commiserated with them at losing such a close one. He said that he knew just how they felt.
Bill Clinton, meanwhile, was busy dialing Janet Jackson.

What's funny is, most people don't even remember watching this very same matchup just a few weeks ago in week 17! N.E. won 38-35.
The NYG have come a long way this season and are a very lucky team IMO. I would have never believed they make the playoffs this year let alone the SB.
It came down to the final two weeks of the reg. season. They had to beat either Buffalo or N.E. to even get a wild card spot to make the playoffs! Had they lost the week 16 game at Buffalo, the season would have ended right there.
Then the missed FGs at Lambeau and Favre finally throwing an INT to give them the final GW chance. This is one lucky team.
The only positive I see is that they have shown they can play with N.E. and it may actually be a better game than I would have believed a few months ago.0 -

Say there "Sling Blade" The movie- about 10 years old now, with Billy Bob Thornton and the "Kaiser Blade= some folks called it a sling blade" one of my all time favorites- have you ever seen it? Somebody beat me to this post, first time in my life I will not be watching the Super Bowl due to equal amount of disdain for both teams and an equal amount of could care less who wins between those two.
Sorry if you live in the northeast but my picks for the super bowl, these would have been last and next to the last.0
