So soft ware automatically changes (three letters standing for similar but more vulgar sentiments) to WTH. Now that is not very nice.
Apparently somebody in charge has decided to eliminate references to the word in question. We have to abide by the wishes of those running the site. Sorry.0 -

There is no right to free speech on this forum. It is a private entity and not run by the government. The owner sets the limits, makes the rules, and decides what is and isn't proper. That's the way it is and you can either accept those conditions or not post. 0 -

You people keep blaming me but I don't make the rules. I wasn't even aware that the filter would change the initials that are the topic of the thread (before it morphed into bash Saxon... again) until it was brought up here. Nobody ever asks my opinion on these things before they are in place so I have no say.
Like I noted previously, the owner makes the rules. This forum is maintained as a courtesy. It's free of charge and all are welcome as long as they abide by the rules. I'm sorry if you don't like rules but the owner wants rules.
Listen, when I first started this gig I was advised to simply poof a problem thread with no explanation. But I always hated it when my post or a thread I was following disappeared without a trace. So I usually do what I think is the polite thing and try to explain why a word or a post is a problem and edit it as little as possible, just removing the naughty word(s). But some people get all twisted up when I do this even though I think I am doing it as a favor to the members. It's a lot less work for me to just hit the poof button and move on. But when I do try to explain so folks will understand the reasoning I get creamed (usually by the same people over and over) by those who want fewer rules. Or looser rules. Or no rules at all.
All I can do is repeat that this site is privately owned. We are guests and can be excluded if we don't go along with the program.
If you prefer I can simply poof and move on. That's what I was told I should do and maybe he was right?

Fortunately I don't need the Internet to make me feel good about myself. Whether you or anyone else here respects me or not has absolutely ZERO affect on my life. But would you all please let me do what I was asked to do here without all the static? If your post gets dumped or edited for content for God's sake just forget about it and move on. Don't you have more important things in your life to worry about? I sure do.

P3- So I should resign in protest? First of all, that would do no good at all. Someone else would simply replace me. Second, I am not interested in protesting. I prefer having guidelines for posting. I have visited sites with no rules and no moderators and NO THANKS!
If being here makes any of you so unhappy why come here? You know the rules and you can either live with them or find another site that pleases you. But this constant whining really needs to stop, folks.0 -
