Ya Know What? I Think I'll Just Start Poofing
Any thread that deals with religion.
I have asked you people, many times, to express matters of belief as matters of belief, but some of you persist in stating them as matters of fact. It's really simple. Just state, "In my opinion..." or, "I believe..." and then go on.
Neither side can quantify its beliefs anyway, and neither side is going to convince the other to change its mind.
I have also asked you to keep your discussions civil and to be nice to one another, as though you were visiting in someone else's home, which you are, and some of you will not, on both sides. As a believer and a Christian, I find it embarrassing when a fellow believer resorts to name-calling, insults, and profanity to get his point across.
So...You want to see your stuff poofed? Just start another thread on religion. I am tired of it.

Excellent. The board has been boring lately with nothing to read. I skip religious discussions as everyone has their own beliefs. Please share your religious discussions with your fellow church members, as that is the place to discuss religion. 0 -

I didn't mean to imply that you had been ugly, only that you responded. Every time a thread gets a new post, it is pushed to the top of the page. If no one responds, the thread will very quickly be pushed off the bottom of the page by the more active threads.0 -

I, as a believer become extremely embarrased at the statements I see from other christian beleivers at times, sure doesn't look like they are following what they preach. 0 -
I can't block God, and won't try, but I get annoyed at the way discussions on God end up.
One of my best friends is a non-believer, not quite an atheist, but a non-believer. I did my Christian duty, and witnessed to her, more than once, but I saw that my message wasn't being received, so I stopped. We are still friends, and probably always will be, but I will let her SEE Christ IN me rather than HEAR about Him FROM me. I think one's life is a better witness than one's words anyway.0 -

I disagree that one side is not going to convince the other. If that were true, all the major religions would still just be local cults. However I agree that this forum is not the place for it. As far as stating facts, the Bible says what it says. So does the Quran and the Book of Mormon.
On the bright side, if religion is banned as a topic, we still have the Association topic and the like to entertain us.0 -

I am guilty of that also, and I apologize. I can only take it for so long as repeat offenders keep beating on everyone else, before I jump off the deep end. I have done it enough recently that i myself have become a repeat offender...sorry.0 -

I have been off the net for a few days. I need a break from it from time to time. So I might very well have missed something here. Is so, someone please let me know.
But is rather strange to me that that the only true religion, and a religion of the most perfect, powerful entity in the universe, needs the assistance of a internet forum moderator.
I'm not being flip, merely stating what should be obvious to any thinking person. It should be the doubters, or the non-believers that need the extra help. But I don't see those people asking for or needing it.0 -

seriously though i have never ever seen a total lock-down of religious threads, but then again i have never seen so many non believers stand up in one day ether, they must be suppressed one way or the other0 -
