No problem. Just buy yourself a $10 pack of Marlboros. Eight of those dollars will go to the government that protects you from yourself.

You can transport beer to one state and vaping supplies to another, toss in some out of state lottery tickets and you might be able to quit your day job.

It's just your local gubment looking out for the adjacent states. With Missoula a mere 2 hour drive (if you stay within the speed limit) from Spokane, Washingtonions (sp?) will be spending their hard earned, or trust-fund cash here. :o

Apparently our governor took it seriously, because we get a 120-day ban on the stuff, starting Oct. 22.

And all because some idiots bought blackmarket THC pods to vape. But noooooo, let's not blame the responsible parties, let's blame it on all vapers and take away the one thing that helps people quit smoking the best.

BTW, the lobbying push is mostly backed by big pharma. They're seeing drops in number of people dying to smoking and want everyone to go back to smoking instead of vaping.

What's wrong with banning the sale of something that kills young people?

Tobacco, alcohol and vaping products can be prohibited for use by anyone fewer than 18 years old. Usually are, yes? When they're 18 yrs old, able to sign up for military service, sign contracts, get married, in some states do CCW how about we expect them to not smoke or get loaded, to not stuff MJ or other detris into a product like a vaping cartridge and injure themselves? How about expecting them to use the product as it was designed, or not at all, and to not monkey with it? Too much to expect nowadays?

The lack of accountability for those misusing the product, and the way it's being reported, is just astounding to me. You have to look hard & long to learn the most often found common denominator in this whole mess is people misusing the product with MJ. It's reminiscent of the many "gun violence" stories we read that leave out the "felon in possession" or the "child" doing the shooting is a 15 year old gang banger.

I don't vape. I think it's silly. If that's what someone wants to do, OK. If the want to load up with MJ, fine by me too. Just don't expect any sympathy or legislation when something goes bad.

    Wow!

I believe you have it backwards. This isn't about the consumer (end user). This is about scumbag businesses "knowingly" selling a toxic product. I guess you're also opposed to laws against crack dealers too. Seeing that there's no safe guidelines for it's production, why should it matter, right? Let them smoke poison and die, control the population and clean the gene pool at the same time, right? The world isn't perfect. ;)

    Jim

    * I believe this purported "ban" is also intended to allow the FDA and CDC to "figure it out," if they can. ;)

The product these "scumbags" sell isn't injuring people when used as directed. The product is being deliberately manipulated and often in violation of the law regarding recreational use of MJ. To rail against them, it seems to me, is no different than anti-gunners who go after Bushmaster for selling a perfectly legal product through an authorized dealer, when it's used by a bad guy in a manner not prescribed by the manufacturer. Or against an FFL who follows all the rules, then finds himself sued because little Jimmy shot someone, accidentally or on purpose.

There's no daylight between the mindset of "ban vaping" and "ban guns". In fact, with vaping the manufacturer can assert as a defense their product is tampered with in order to do harm, something gun manufacturers cannot claim.

I'd have to agree with that. I tried vaping for a while, gave me a chronic cough and phlegm balls. searched about it on the internet, mfr's were saying "oh, it's just your lungs getting used to it"... bullcrap. and that makes them scumbags. not like I see people dropping like flies because of vaping but there's something to it, and at the very least the mfr's are willfully ignoring the problems.

I won't argue over this, I don't have a dog in the fight. However, you are misinformed. It's entirely about the uncontrolled products and their unclean manufacturing. About as much related to gun control as leash laws. If you don't like laws, you don't like laws. If you don't like government, you don't like laws. Life's a bitch and then you die. ;)

    Jim

I don't either, have a dog in this fight. I took your comment to mean legitimate manufacturers. But if "scumbag manufacturers" means those pirating or covertly making deliberately adulterated capsules/cartridges (whatever they're called) I agree. So far as those major manufacturers selling the product above board - folks can either use them as the manufacturer intended or decline. Just like cigarettes. A person has to be pretty thick nowadays to figure taking anything burning or heated into one's lungs isn't harmful in some way. And for individuals who deliberately adulterate the product for their own use - their risk, their consequences.

I read somewhere that there have been 6 deaths due to vaping!

Something must be done! And it needs to be done now!

We can then move on to other dangerous habits and wipe them out as well.

Who knows where all this may lead, smoking tobacco could be unhealthy as well?
If we do the research I'll bet we find multiple deaths from tobacco smoke.
If we outlaw smoking tobacco, we may possibly save a hundred lives.

    Does AOC know about this?

I use large print because I'm yelling! I'm excited! I'm concerned!

Is "THC" a flavor? It's not like they buy that for the flavor right?

Chainsaws and circular saws are dangerous too. Smoking causes cancer and circulation problems thats why there are warning labels on cigarette packs.

People have the right to make thier own decisions about personal things. This is a free country. Like wearing a helmet on a motorcycle. Let the individual decide what they want to do.

I love how the freedom haters work their way out of the woodwork when a topic on freedom comes up. It's good to know who the enemy is.

I am in I.T. and one of our contracts used to be a local vape chain. I had been there numerous times and everything seemed normal. Then, one day I was in there and the guy asked me to go to the lobby for a few minutes. He donned on a Tyvex suit, put on respirator and visor, then put on thin latex gloves, followed by these past the elbow gloves. He did some pouring, measuring, mixing, etc then came back to get me. I asked him what that was all about. He said they get the liquid nicotine and it is so concentrated it can kill you by absorption through your skin. :o

Open carry next month in Okla. (without any training or permit)

Medical Marijuana Ok with a permit. (for medicinal purposes only) ;)

Anyone can go topless. ( kinda like this one, but maybe they should put a weight limit on people that can go topless) Seems to be mostly fat women and that hurts my eyes, but they might look better after a few beers or a dose of marijuana vaping ;)

I've been practicing my FAST DRAW. (getting better each day) I can fan my single action revolver now with the extension I welded on the hammer and the trigger tied down. Hope my mod is legal.

    Happy trails. ;)

Your freedom (rights) end where mine begin.

Example: Druggies rush to call 911 when someone OD's. 911 dispatches fire dept and police to save their sorry ass while all expenses, including hospital, is funded by taxpayer.

In my dream world there would be no emergency response on KNOWN OD cases. The druggies know their limits. Do the drugs, receive the rewards.

Course some liberal AH thinks people have a right to free stuff. I don't. Earn your own way.

no, this is more along the lines of a used car dealer selling you a car that he knows the transmission is going out but of course he wants to sell it and make money. would you call that freedom to buy a lemon? no, you would call that a ripoff. and that's what we got here.

It's call responsibility. Being responsible for your actions.

If someone wants to kill themselves, why stop them. Been down that road too many times.

Vape, smoke or kill yourself I don't care. Just don't come crying for help after you have ODed several times..
