The latest findings are that the deaths are being caused by cyanide burns to the lungs; it comes from heating hydrogen cyanide, an ingredient found in herbicides.

But, hydrogen cyanide is also found in trace amounts in tobacco smoke. So, where is it coming from?

I think that they will identify the source pretty soon. I don't know anything about vaping, but always assumed that the cartridges from the factory were sealed. Maybe they are, but "refills" are priced cheap enough that folks on a budget will take a chance.

I live near a state licensed marijuana grow house & lab. They grow the pot hydroponically, so that don't have to worry about weeds & insects in soil. The state tests everything they produce, & any trace of herbicide or insecticide will result in a batch being seized & destroyed.

I'm sticking with bourbon; haven't had a bad bottle yet.
