I agree with you Ken, while it was not a direct vote for Hillary, it wasn't a vote against her either. I do it in local elections but never in presidential elections. I have written in an old farmer freind of mine for secratery of agriclulture for the state the last 5 or 10 times as I hate to see anyone run unaposed .

though I did vote for Ross Perot twice......

In Ohio if you write in someone not legally registered as a candidate the ballot is tossed.

Pretty much the same, (IMHO) writting someone who is deceased.

    Did my Guy Win?

IF, a Viable Third Party Candidate was proposed, came forward, and had what it took to garner enough attention in order to be a Viable Candidate, He would have my Vote.

    I await such a Candidate.

If I may ask, Who (?) Did you Vote for last POTUS Election, Randy?

    Care to share?

With the way we all are nowadays, I don't think that a third party candidate will ever again be elected potus. Never garner enough support...

That's the same reason I don't see any constitutional amendments in the near future.

We're too fractured - both us and congress.

I wouldn?t say never. The fracturing was what brought about some of the now defunct parties in the 1800?s. It?s also what brought about their demise.

So in Ohio you have no option to write in anybody for an office at all ? ?..... . "registered candidates" are listed on a ballot as a candidate so they are your only choices :? , ........that sounds very Un-American and illegal.

Since I already weighed in reference this in another thread and in the interest of time, I am going to re-post some commentary.

No POTUS is going to restore the Republic. No election is going to reverse course. TINVOWOOT.

One should be intellectually honest enough and smart enough to assess things that are actually done vs. rhetoric.

To make this thread's dogmatic adherence to the 'Paradigm of The Lesser Turd' even semi-rational, one would have to somehow believe that every individual's vote belonged to either Turd #1 or Turd #2, the Democrat or Republican offered up by the party apparatus and those behind it.

Since my vote was NEVER going to any Constitution-pooper (read Constitution-breaker and epic failure on even recognizing the Founding Principles), the whole theory falls flat. Sad to realize that so many people cannot even conceptualize this dirt-simple set of facts.

And so continues the fall of this 'once' Republic with a crystal-clear illustration of the reason why there is no voting our way out of this.

A truism is in order, it seems.....'There is no Left or Right. There is only Freedom or Tyranny.'

I am quite certain that this truism's meaning will fly over most heads by a country mile, but oh well.

Ever take note of the fact that the big things never change, aka the globalist Pax Americana of endless war, domestic police state and surveillance state, profound demographic tera-forming of America via illegal and legal immigration flood (which amounts to traditional Americans, with a focus on the white devils, are being replaced), diminished individualism/individual liberty, govt indoctrination via 'public education', lawless rogue govt, two-tiered system of law and accountability.....all regardless of which 'party' is in charge?

We are in fact witness to a single political party,. the Globalist-Collectivist Party. It merely has a Republican 'right' wing and a Democrat 'left' wing. Two wings, same bird, one overall flight path.

As I assess it, of course.

As things stand and as people's beliefs in the two-party paradigm remain caught up in this carefully staged clown-circus, nothing can or will change our course, short of revolt or revolution. Nothing.

How do you think a third party becomes viable absent people supporting it before it is?

If the sheep are going to sit back and wait for a correction to the system through viability of a third party, it will never happen (which is probably what most of them want anyway).

Living in fear of the opposition and voting for the crap that is filtered and offered by a major party dedicated to its own power is exactly what both parties want.

To your question to Randy. In the past few cycles I have been forced to vote mostly Libertarian because of the Constitutional standing I perceive in the individual candidates. No candidate will be perfect, of course, but until and unless the GOP or Democrats offer a candidate who I believe will place his oath to the Constitution over his party, neither of the major parties will get my support.

It wouldn't take that many people to get a third party to the point of viability. It will take a number of election cycles, particularly if there continue to be those who live in fear of stepping out of the safe space they have created for themselves.

I have never "written in" a name for President but I have voted 3rd party.

I almost voted for Perot in 92 but voted for Bush.

I voted for Ross Perot in 1996. I thought clinton was a dirtbag and Dole was an idiot. I respected Dole as a Veteran but his ability as President, I thought was lacking. I liked Perot even though he gave clinton the white house in 92. I think if Perot had won he would have done a good job, especially during that boom time with all the internet and .com stuff going on.

I almost didn't vote in 2000 because I didn't like any of the candidates. But I ended up voting against algore whom I cannot stand.

I have to say that I have not voted "FOR" anyone in quite some time. I guess the 1st Bush and Reagan were the last ones. I voted for Trumpy but I held my nose doing it. Since then I have to say he has done much better than I would have thought. I cannot think of any other person who could have held out against the continual onslaught of the media and the dems.

In local elections I have not written in anyone mainly because I don't know many people.

Voting really doesn't usually matter, regardless of which candidate you pick. It's all pre-ordained. How else do you explain the election (TWICE!) of a candidate like Obama with no resume? Elections are just one tool used by the powers-that-be to keep the huddled masses under control by making us think we have a say and our votes matter. The reason that the media, democrats, hollywood, etc. are so mad at Trump is that he found a way to bypass their system and rise to the top with the voters. Rest assured that the fixes are being made to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.

Await such a candidate? So, you only vote for a winning team once they're already winning? Not the candidate you agree with?

To answer your question (I've posted this here before, so it's no mystery): I voted for Trump. But it's not because of any lack of "viability" on any 3rd party candidate's part (for this particular election cycle... I have voted 3rd party in the past). To say that I have been disappointed in the performance of the candidate I chose would be an understatement. I had been somewhat hopeful going in.

I would LOVE to be able to Vote for a "Third Party Candidate," who had a Chance in Hell of winning.

Unfortunately, I have not seen such a Candidate.

I await such a Candidate. (He will garner my Vote.)

Until then, Voting in such a way that insures defeat of the likes of Hillary/Sanders,, is my main objective.

Hillary in Office as POTUS, would have been a DISASTER for the United States. (Sanders, merely Pathetic.) Probably the most I'LL Iquiped POTUS nominee,EVER. (Not to mentioned an avowed Socialist.)

If you "Wrote in," a Third Party Candidate this past Election, you did Nothing to defeat Hillary, (IMHO) you simply did not Vote for Her.

    Say what you want.

You did not help defeat Hillary, you merely Voted for another "Loser."

So your whole Voting for a "Third Party Candidate" Visual, meant about Squat?

As apparently, you did not either.

I don't see how it meant squat, considering a) it wasn't the rationale I used and b) I have voted 3rd party in past POTUS election cycles. It does seem logic evades you.

Again, please correct the math where it is incorrect:

    Hillary - 0
    Trump- 0
    Third party - 1 <--- vote

1 has always been greater than 0 in every math course I've taken.

Your whole "argument," seems to lose focus, now that you have admitted, to having Voted for Trump - when It Counted, in order to defeat Hillary. (As my initial position inferred.)

(And) As Miraculous as it may seem to you, I Agree.

My main focus this past Election period was to do everything that I could, in order to insure that Hillary, would NOT get Elected.

My Vote, helped to defeat Her.

Your "Vote," while not Voting for Her, did not in any way help defeat Her. (IMHO.)
