All criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped Tuesday during an emergency court hearing in Chicago, according to his lawyers.
The ?Empire? star agreed to perform community service and will surrender his $10,000 bond.
He was accused of lying to police when he told them two men unleashed a racist and homophobic attack on him in Chicago.

OK, I'd be satisfied if they had given him a suspended sentence, community service, forfeit bond, & let him walk.
But, the LEAST they should have done is require him to plead guilty to a crime carrying a possible sentence of > 1 year in jail. THAT would have prevented him from firearms possession for the rest of his life, & he wouldn't have been able to vote for an indeterminate period.
