RIP Gunbroker Forums
This new "Apple-ized" forum look SUCKS. And will be the death of the (already dying) forums.
It really sucks, and makes me sad that we are now forced to use this ugly and bloated page. Now I get 5 topics per page, instead of 20 or more.
More ad revenue for Gunbroker though, so I guess that is good for them, until they have no clicks at all because people left.
Gunbroker isn't the first, and won't be the last company to switch to this "lots of white space" ugly crap.
Oh well. What can you do?

Same here using Chrome. Getting logged off sometimes is the only issue I have, and i't's better now than it was.
Sure wish the bitchers would give it a break, and those threatening to leave would just leave. No need to make a big production out of it. If you don't like the new forum, you're free to head on down the pike. Nobody is forcing you to hang around.
Myself, I think this new forum is grand, and once the bugs are worked out it'll be even better.
I bet it's been at least ten years now that people had bitched and moaned about the old forums, and the need for a new one. Just the fact that we can post videos and pictures directly makes up for it, IMO. Any forums I've been a part of in the past that switched over to something new had teething problems for the first few days. Hell, we even have the option to put other members on ignore now. That alone was worth the wait and the update, and is very much welcome! That part functions flawlessly.8-)0 -
The login issue is a teething problem, probably. The "excessive white space" isn't an issue for me because I use an actual computer monitor, not a phone. But my hide is severely chapped by the %$#*@ auction ads plastered all over. The auction side and the forum side ought to be separate, period.
There are good TV programs that people refuse to watch because of the overwhelming ad content. This board might end up the same way.0 -

Old people dont like change. (Me 74) . But someone has to teach/help the kids. (Kids-anyone 5 years younger then me)
Adblock Plus , found under extensions, works well.

I use uBlock Origin, which is smaller, faster, and MUCH more effective than AdBlocker+
But it isn't outside ads that I've complained about. It's all these "Sponsored Listings" that appear in at least three places on each page, plus that GunGenius ad. And which cannot be ignored or blocked.
It seems to me that the main (if not the only) reason for the new forum setup is for GB Marketing to sell all these listings for the auction side. And that really pisses me off. Do they have a right to do that? Yes, they do. It's their website.
But I also have rights, including that I am not forced to use this website. The frustration factor is building fast. I come here for polite chit-chat on topics that interest me. Not to have auction items paraded in front of me. I could browse ebay to see that.0 -
