pooptiest firearm you have owned
The lowest price point firearm that I still have is a 5-inch JC Higgins model 88 .22lr but I would say it's far from a poopy firearm... I inherited it for my dad who had it as I was growing up and I would run at least 10 bricks through a year as a kid, plus all my kids have probably another 20-30 thousand rounds through it. And it has never failed to fire with an estimated 60-80,000 through it... Probably more because my 3 brothers ran quite a few through it too. As many or more than I did,and I have since taking it out a couple of times with my girlfriend's son that has run a brick through it every time we've gone out and it's still going strong.. So with that said I would never consider it a poopty...
Which brings me to the my pooptiest thing I've ever owned, that was a nickel-plated Jennings Model 25, 25 caliber pistol... That thing I don't think ever would feed a full magazine through it without having at least 1 failure to feed. Plus every time it did go bang, some of the nickel plate would come off... It was given to me by my mother-in-law after my stepfather died... Needless to say I did not keep that thing very long. I really didn't think it was that safe with all the nickel plating flying off of it

I had a RG .22 given to me.
I shot at a 1 gal water jug from 6 feet away and missed.

I admit to taking home a new in box Raven .25 acp (deluxe chrome finish with wood grips) for the princely sum of $20.00
It was not a high quality design and manufacturing standards seemed pretty low - but it did function and fire for me
I had an RG-38 that while heavy and clunky and poorly balanced (an ugly duckling with poor ergonomics) was a safe and overbuilt well functioning revolver - surprisingly good shooter (like the oft maligned high point) that never failed to function
I had a charter arms AR-7 that proved to be the most inaccurate firearm I have ever handled - I even mounted a scope and still could not produce a group at short range (let alone bring down a helicopter like James Bond)
I had a Dan Wesson revolver from the malaise period were manufacturer quality control and customer service was poor (the company changed ownership several times) that no gunsmith could ever get to run quite right

I think the gun I was most unhappy with was a sporterized M44 Nagant for $50. It was the first Nagant I ever owned, I'd never seen one prior to buying it at a local show. The "finish" seemed to be paint that came off when I cleaned the gun and bullets tumbled out of the bore.0 -

Phoenix Arms HP22. I bought both the 3.5" and 5" barrels for the gun. I don't think I ever got a full mag to feed with out jamming and that was trying several types and brands of ammo. Accuracy with both barrels was poor at best and the adjustable sights were a joke. Got rid of it and lost about $50 on the deal but was happy to see it go. 0 -
Toss up between a Marlin bolt action tube fed and H&R semi-auto mag fed--both in 22 WMR 0 -
the crossfire mkI every time I shot it would literally fall apart.
it got so bad the company sent me a brand new piece and suggested I not fire it, but sell it
then I bought a cheap SXS long barreled ugly looking thing that fired 410 with no trigger guard. I can't recall the name0 -

The worst firearm I have ever owned is a . . . . . Glock 19.
I bought it brand new. It will not fire a full magazine of ammunition . . . any kind of ammunition.
I have tried lube - no lube, factory ammo - reloads, firm grip - loose grip, me shooting it - somebody else shooting it.
I have sent it to a factory authorized service center. They cannot figure it out.
Yes, I still have it.
No, I don't (can't?) shoot it.
I also have a Glock 26. It is a nice little gun and works just fine - although I don't use it as much as I thought I would.0 -
Remington 517 (I think it was) .22. It constantly jammed after only short time. 0 -
Clerke .22LR revolver. It looks like a toy, but that isn't possible because toys have to meet certain standards! The Clerke made babun's RG look like a Colt Python by comparison. I looked and there are two listed on Gun Broker right now, although one of them is .32.0 -
Ruger Mini 14.
The trigger assembly would fall out when shooting it. The best group I could get from it was about 8" at 100 yards.

Colt 2000. what a POS. I took it back to Bass Pro and they gave me in store credit for it which I used to buy my Browning Hi-Power. 0 -
I have seen an Arminius revolver shoot itself apart. RG, Clerk, Llamas are equally bad.
Been a part time rangemaster enough to know which brands have the most issues and have to add Taurus autos in the mix.
I have yet to see a Raven fail as well as a High Point.0 -

Shoot it 4-5 times and you'd have to tighten all the screws.

I think everybody that has ever owned more than a few firearms has come up with a dog. Penquin's Savage Surprised me a little until I remembered a Colt Trooper 6 inch that would not hold a group on a 8.5 X 11 inch piece of paper at 15 yards. Only exception was my reloads that would do about 6 inches at that distance. I tried 5 different factory loads (all off a sandbag rest)
I have a Savage 24V I do like, but have to admit that I shortened the barrels and tuned them to shoot together building my own front spacer block. A Savage 24C would shoot 6 foot apart at 50 yards.
The FIE's, RG's, Arminius, Clerke, Phoenix, Raven products always seem to find their way into the POS category guns.0 -

The VP 70 "As designed" by HK was a good idea. It was designed and sold as a 3-shot burst machine pistol. As designed, the trigger pull was OK. However, the powers to be decided to market it in the USA and changed the trigger mechanism to DA only. In doing do, they screwed it up royally with an atrocious trigger pull.0 -

Ive got one of those (POS) pictured here : My (EX) father in law gave it to me years ago : We went out shooting , He was shooting this lil thing : was able to hit coke bottle tops consistantly at a good distance ??? he gave it to me , had only shot .22 shorts in it ? With home-made wood grips ??? also have another : was found in parts in a bottom of a box from an auction years ago : an employee of mine put it back together & then shot it on a bet ? Also owns a Jennings J22 , shoots well and functions just fine ( was my Fishing Gun ) for years , also own a Raven p25 , kept it because it has NEVER failed ???
