Subway Fans?
Spicy Italian, 9 grain Oat, shredded cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, cucumbers, green peppers, red onions, a load of jalapenos, Parmesian, oregano. ((Dry, as it is going to work tomorrow.) Side of oil and vinegar.
Meatball marinara, 9 grain Oat, melted Mozzarella, spinach, tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, a load of jalapenos, Parmesian, oregano. (For dinner tonight.)
Was headed in to the Chinese buffet, but saw the sign for $4.99 footlongs. Been kind of craving a good sandwich anyway.
Anyone?

I like a good sandwich too but Subway isn't my first choice, kind of flavorless IMO
Not a huge fan of the overpriced competitor Jersey Mikes either but when they had Chicken Salad I used to get an occasional sandwich.
Actually around here the Publix super market (Boars Head) has the best tasting and price on Subs.0 -
I like the BMT on whole wheat, with everything but mayo, and mustard (oil/vinegar only),....had one a few days ago. Publix around here, makes good subs too.
Subway is one of the few 'fast food' joints I will stop at.0 -

I (unfortunately) do not have a Jersey Mikes, or an alternative to choose from. Grocery stores around me have laughable "Delis." Not like up North.
Miss good Diners also. Stop in any time, day or night. Good food.0 -

You have to love the unlimited condiments to be able to load on. I usually have so much going on, they can not close it. I would LOVE to have a good (like up North) true Deli, in the supermarket.
Considering I am in little Podunk Mtn. City, TN. We have a somewhat decent selection of restaurants to choose from. It has gotten enourmously better, in the last 8-10 years.

Firehouse is definitely best, followed by Jersey Mike's. Subway is a distant third, but sometimes that's all there is. And a lot of supermarket delis put Subway in fourth.
For lunch today I had a Korean BBQ Bahn mi sandwich (talk about cultural diversity!) from a little hole in the wall place a mile from my house. It was exquisite.0 -

Leave off the toms, olives and ranch ... chipotle sauce instead ... Then either double meat or fold over a 12" and take off 1/2 the bread but make a sandwich at home with it [:D]0 -

I always order mine with double meat and double cheese... The veggies and condiments change up depending on my taste... But I always have to have double double 0 -

Does anybody remember when Subway was required to cut the V shaped trough down the center of the sandwich, pile in everything, then attempt to put the sliver of bread back "in'. [:(!]

I do. I would ask them to cut it the ?normal? way and they would give me a perplexed look. I would then tell them, cut it just like a hot dog roll. Of course they were all young people making the subs back then. Just this week, that Subway closed up because people now go to the new Wawa for their hoagies.0 -
