Temps dropping -

7 degrees in 3 hours. 26* now, going down to about 4* tonight. Very windy. Woke up to about an inch of snow.

Woodstove going. Plenty of wood inside and on hand. Brought in a 2-3 gal. jug of kerosene if I choose to fire that puppy up. Its already full, and will run on low for about 12 hours. Throws off some serious heat. (Yes, I have a new Carbon monoxide detector.) Will probably fire it up around 1am when I get up to re-load the woodstove.

Scheduled tomorrow off (a few days ago,) when I learned it was supposed to get down so cold. Single digits lead to pipe freezing issues for me. (I do not like to leave H2O running however slight, while being gone for 11hrs at work.) Besides, we have a 6 day work week scheduled for this coming week. Makes taking a Vacation day more valuable, as it becomes a time and a half pay day.

Enjoying the day. Woodstove going, currently watching a Chuck Norris movie. (MIA) Life is good.

    Thirteen miles south of Sault Ste.Marie Michigan I had -34 on the car in one spot this mourning.

    -27 in Herrings, NY this AM. It was only -18 at my house. It gets cold down by the river!

    I woke up this morning to frozen drain pipes going out to the septic tank.[V]

    Everything that is supposed to go down the drain isn't!

    Back-ups in all three bathroom toilets and here I sit thinking of converting my hunting blind into an outhouse!

    Had to call the Roto Rooter people and they are so busy they can't get to me until tomorrow![V] The ground is frozen solid and this is not only going to be a beach of a job but $$$$$$[V]
