I have only used the new one in my phone and I don?t care for it. That being said I hate change and didn?t like the one we have been using until I forgot about the old one. 0 -
I liked the simplicity of the prior page. Everything on one page, just scroll to it. The new page will get some getting used to.
More effort to check on what I'm interested in will not make me more likely to spend my cash. We'll see how it goes.0 -
Just checked my saved searches. Now there is more, much more, unrelated stuff listed. Again, taking up my time looking through stuff I am not looking for doesn't make it more likely I will separate from my cash. I'm not going to bother refining those searches again. 0 -

Whoever designed the old format knew what they were doing when it came to ensuring fast, easy searches. I would spend hours at a time, often day after day, scrolling through auctions, for certain makes an models. Since the change to the new format, I might spend two or three hours a month searching auctions, and then only for a fraction of certain makes and models. The old format was a magnificent system. It's a damn shame it went by the wayside. 0 -

Many knowledgeable folks claim reluctance to change is a sign of stubborness and old age. Guilty as charged. As for the topic, the old format was better!

it would be so nice if the persons that design these things actually used them and the webpage would take into consideration its users. the old way was at least accurate.you would think the sales would generate the majority of the buisness but evidently they dont because they just keep trying to cram more ads in everywhere. 0 -

Have not liked the sort for a very long time now. Use to be you could look for a particular firearm and in one sort get only that firearm and related parts without all the other garbage. Very disappointed! 0 -
I agree with the people who do not like the new format. I hate it. I can barely tell what I have on my watch list, and when the things on it end.
I think the new format is designed for smartphone/tablet users, which appears to be an obsession with website designers now. I guess that makes me prejudiced - I still use a flip-phone.
But design like this was a lot of what was wrong with the late, unlamented Windows 8, IMO.0 -

The NEW and IMPROVED version is NOT as user friendly as the older version. In my opinion it is slower and harder to determine what is in your watch list. But .......who am I to question the system....only a user of it. It's kind of like the government ,the people don't care for something and they implement it anyway.

The drop down for marking FFL received / payment received doesn't work properly if my tablet is in portrait. I have to rotate to landscape.
I don't like the new format either. In the old format, you can see all the pertinent info. With the new, you've got to click around.

I agree with all of you. It is bad. I entered a search for Ruger Single 10. Got rifles, 9mm autos, various other things. After checking several pages I quit. 0 -
We've become pretty used to it, so I don't have any problems with the new format. The only thing I'm SERIOUSLY missing is the tally that was at the top of my page showing what everything was currently selling for.
It gave the grand total for the auctions which made it easy for me to see if bidding had happened on my listings, plus....when the auctions end the closed tally was at the top of the page so I could glance at that and see how the week's numbers looked instead of having to add it all up.
I'm sure once everyone gets used to the new format it will all be fine. Give it a little time...I'm pretty used to it after using it just one day and I'm liking it a lot now.0 -
Sorry Kasey, it pretty much sucks. It ensures searches will be less precise so you spend more time wading through the chaff to find the grains. What will happen is I will spend less time searching GunBroker and more other places. 0 -

Oh, also, I have found that the new format has switched my "Any of these words" searches to "All of of these words" searches.
Thus, when I tried to search for any of Beholla Stenda Menta Menz Leonhardt, I now wind up searching for all of them put together. Needless to say, that turns up nothing. And I can't fix it, because the correct version will not save correctly. Good job, web designers! You've gotten points for incompetence, want to try for indifference too?0 -

Remember, it was designed by people that like computers for the computer's sake and therefore is GOOD. For mere mortal USERS with money to spend it is not so user friendly at all. 0 -
Give it just a little time......we list so much stuff and have a LOT to deal with so we had to jump in pretty quickly. I'll admit we should have been using the new format when the tab opened three months ago, but we put it off until it became a "must" like most people do.
Fideu.....you mentioned you searched for "Ruger Single 10" and pulled up pages and pages of rifles along with other stuff. I have pulled it up to do the same....BUT....if you look over to the left of the screen you will see you can limit or "filter" your search to what you are looking for so it will not show you things like parts or accessories. You can also limit to price ranges, no reserves, or other criteria you want to include.0 -
Fideu.....another way to look for a "Ruger Single 10".....at the top left of the screen right next to the Gun Broker bullet is the BROWSE CATEGORIES icon. Click on that.....the window that opens click on FIREARMS.....Pistols....Revolvers.....it will lead you to a page that starts showing you nothing but pistols
BUT....if you look at that screen on the left side is a choice of manufacturers......pick Ruger....in that same area you can pick a model......if you click on see all you will see the list has Single Ten listed with the number 18 next to it. I clicked on it and got this....

I am a computer person and this was designed by someone who doesn't use GunBroker on a regular basis. You can't look at everything at a glance. You can't see what items have bids on them without using a drop down menu. You can't see your entire watch list without clicking a link. The website was clearly redesigned for younger users who are predominately on a mobile device or tablet vs a desktop or laptop. They put frowning faces by the items that you didn't win and the items that are unsold . They should have saved this version of the interface as the mobile version and left the old version as the full website. 0 -
OK, I jacked with it today and I DON'T LIKE IT,, END OF STORY. I buy and sell quite a bit here and it makes things more difficult, IMO , dumbazz opinion. 0
