    I remember a Consumer Reports article on pickup trucks, from the 1980s. It was HILARIOUS. They stated that they couldn't figure out what the vehicles were good for, other than transporting construction materials.

    As I stated earlier, CR is in NYC, run by Yankees who mostly use public transportation. They are good at testing microwaves and vacuum cleaners, but forget them on vehicles.

    I have owned, and still own, vehicles that have big black dots on the graph in the ratings book. No problems.

    Renault Le Car.
    In the '80's we'd shape at the port to drive the s-boxes off the ships. Wasn't uncommon to see 1 Le car pushing 2 others down Port street to the holding lot.

    My Mom had a Ford Tempo back in the late 80's. It sucked. My '79 Mustang wasn't the best either.

    But since then I've had no complaints with my Fords. My '14 F-150 rocks.
