I'm surprised the Dodge Charger didn't make the list. 0 -
No surprise to me,, there are NO Fords on the list 0 -
Ram pickup is the worst? WOW, I knew they were shoddy but nobody wants to be topping that list 0 -
No Fords, no Toyotas, no Hyundai, no Nissan, no Kia.
Of course, there are also no Isuzu, no Mitsubishi, and no Land Rover - all of which are dogpoo for reliability. So don't give that list too much credibility.0 -

Isuzu only sells commercial vehicles in the US.
Mitsubishi and Land Rover sell so few units here that they may have not been considered in the survey.0 -

When did Isuzu stop selling Troopers and such? there was an open Isuzu dealership here until just a couple years ago. I grant you they should have stopped selling those godawful things long ago, but I thought they still did.
Just looked it up. US sales halted in 2009, with only 1,500 vehicles sold that year, total. Dismal. Deservedly, too. The dealership I referred to above may have closed, but the signs were still up and there were vehicles on the lot. I guess I didn't pay much attention to what kind.0 -

You probably have a standard transmission don't you? Their automatics and gas engines is what makes them a turd.

Rocky, The Trooper went away like 15 years ago.
Honestly GM ruined Isuzu. But, they sell a lot of light commercial trucks her in the US. Isuzu finally cut all ties with GM and they actually sell tons of 4 door pickups, light commercial and commercial truck worldwide0 -

Mitsubishi makes the best 4 cylinder engine on the planet. We've put over 500,000 miles on the two that we've owned and the one we still have is still going with over 300,000 miles on it. Neither of the Galants ever had an engine or transmission problem of any kind.
On the other hand our Hyundai Sonata's engine blew up at 89,000 miles but at least Hyundai stepped up and put a new engine in it at no cost to us without even the first hint of an argument including furnishing a loner car while it was being repaired. And that's for a car that we didn't buy new from Hyundai. We bought it at a Ford dealership. I really doubt any American dealership would have even bothered looking at our car.0 -

Well, I am glad that a VW at least, made the list.
But I will tell you the lest reliable car ever made, the VW van.
Here is my 1971 van, drove that thing all over Mexico, and believe it or not, Guatemala and El Salvador. Blew the engine in La Libertad El Salvador.
Boy was that fun, having an El Salvador mechanic rebuild the engine on a card table under a palm tree. He had a shop but it was small, didn't have room to put the VW engine inside.
I had 3 of these vans and blew 6 engines. Most unreliable car ever made.
What is really sick is I want another one! And as a highly paid truck drive I can afford it. They are all advertised on The Samba.com
What is really weird, these old air cooled VWs are now collector's items, and to get a good old 1971 today would cost you about $25 grand. That is really sick.
I will have to win the lottery, but, if I do, first thing I will buy is an old VW van, I guess I am an auto masochist.0 -

Yours is old, they are talking about 2017-2018 model...is your Cummins a DPF equipped engine? The DPF motors are junk compared to the previous 5.9s.0 -

The only one that came close was a 1976 F-250 and even then, only after some "farm boy" engine mods would it run right w/o overheating under load.0 -
The worst car once owned by me was a 1980 Mercury Grand Marquise.
Bought it used when it was just 2 years old and it was a nightmare for dependability. Crappy carburetor problems all of the time and was very bad on snow covered slippery roads even with good snow tires!
It was the only YELLOW car ever owned and it even smelled like a lemon![:(!]0 -
Everything Chrysler or Jeep. Before Fiat took over. Never have one again.

None made it past 60,000 miles without major repairs needed and a whole bunch of minor ones. Only vehicles I've ever owned that had door latches breaking. Window regulators, motors and the whole mechanisms. AC compressors, ball joints, head gaskets, etc.0 -
I don't find the vehicle evaluations from Consumer Reports to be very reliable. The magazine is published in New York City, and the editors/technicians have no concept of owning and operating a vehicle in other parts of the country. 0 -
As crappy as the Fiat Chryslers are. The Challenger is out selling the Camaro by more than 25% this year

On the year, Ford has sold 61,619 examples of the Mustang, followed by Dodge with 52,313 Challengers and the Camaro is far behind with just 39,828 units sold this year. Ford?s lead of 9,306 units over the Dodge isn?t insurmountable, but with three months left on the year, it is highly unlikely that the Challenger will beat the Mustang enough over that time to close the gap and take the 2018 title. We are likely to see a spike in Challenger sales later this year as the Redeye and more-powerful 2019 Hellcat begin reaching owners, but the odds are not good of closing that 9,300-unit gap over three months.
The Camaro sucks so bad and GM is so worried they are dropping the price on the
2019 by $3,000 versus the 2018.0 -

I used to be a Ford guy - until I had enough Ford cars that cost me too much money (water pumps, AC work, engine mounts, wheel bearings, etc.).
Ford had their chance with me but really just pushed me to Nissan or Toyota. I find that I really do prefer cars that I don't have to work on much!
I'm sure Fords are better nowadays. M work car is a 2017 Taurus - & I must say it is very nice. We'll see about reliability.
Personally, I find Consumer Reports to be accurate on cars. The annual book that they put out is a great reference if you ask me. If I understand it right, Consumer Reports surveys car owners all over the US and compiles the data. In my experience, when CR says a car is going to have a certain problem, it probably will. Data don't lie.
Of course, you could own 3 of their worst ranked cars and never have an issue. Every manufacturer gets something right some of the time.0 -
I'm sure there is a lot of truth to cars built on Mondays and Fridays being the most prone to problems.[:)] 0
