Jamal Khashoggi's was butchered alive?
If this gets verified as being true then it could be the black swan event to push oil prices to a very high price. President Trump will have no choice but to boycott selling Arms to Saudia Arabia.

Consul General Mohammed al-Otaibi fled Turkey yesterday, hours before it was reported that he can be heard on the seven minute audio Khashoggi allegedly recorded on his smartwatch of his own torture and murder.
The audio - which has not been released to the public - reportedly also hears one of the alleged killers instruct the others to wear headphones and listen to music while dismembering the 59-year-old.

Have to agree that something is seriously rotten with this whole thing. This isn't simply just some "journalist" getting smoked. That said we should still mind our own business. One thing I learned when I was deployed to the middle east is that Arab governments in general, and the Saudi's in particular, do not tolerate dissent nor suffer fools nicely. They can be an incredibly brutal lot.0 -

His history is fairly well documented.
He was once a darling of the Saudi ruling family, but turned to a more islamist view; one that objected the western influence and reformation that was slowly taking place in his country.
He advocate for the maintenance of and/or return to a more fundamentalist theocracy, which the Saudi needed to thwart so as to maintain positive relationship with the west. While his killing is a blip, the nature of it was designed to keep in check folks who would venture down his path or pick up his torch.
We will forget about this islamist, muslim brotherhood supporting writer within a few weeks or months, and the Kingdom will continue with a major thorn removed from its side.0 -
