No matter how hard the Dems push to impeach President Trump and remove him from office, it isn't going to happen.
Robert Mueller's shotgun approach to find something, anything, to tie to President Trump has come up empty handed and it is very doubtful that anything will surface to the level of High Crimes and Misdemeanors...no matter how hard the Dems pray that it will.
Even if the Dems do pull it off and gain control of the House, they are not going to gain the Senate. As it was noted above, the House could bring impeachment charges with a simple majority but the Senate would try the case and would require a 2/3rds super majority to convict.
There are only two impeached presidents in United States history, charged by the House of Representatives with committing "high crimes and misdemeanors." Neither of the two impeached presidents, Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, were convicted by the Senate. In fact, there has never been a president removed from office using the impeachment process.
There are a few Dems and, the whole of the MSM, that believe that President Trump is mentally unbalanced and are probably looking at the only other impeachment mechanism set forth in the U.S. Constitution, aside from conviction on impeachment charges, that allows for the removal of a failing president... It is the 25th Amendment, which contains provisions for the forceful removal of a president who has become physically unable to serve.
Like the impeachment process... the 25th Amendment has never been used to remove a president from office.
I will wager that President Trump will finish his present term and his second term in 2020.

Note that it doesn't require a 2/3rds vote of the Senate. It requires a 2/3rds vote of those present.
And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present.
A problem could occur if several Republicans decided to not attend. That way they wouldn't have to vote to impeach him but they could lower the number needed to impeach. An example now exists as 2/3rds of 100 is 67 but with an open seat that drops the number to 66.0 -
