I think the elected moderators is turning into a whos' who of the GB good old boys club. People thinking we'll need four moderators for reloading but only one moderator for General discussion? I understand the safety aspect of a reloading forum but come on, you want to double the number of current moderators because of the addition of one forum? I really don't care who the moderator is, or how many there are, and I'll post accordingly and within the guidlines of GB, and if people can handle doing that simple task you won't need four new moderators.

I have been reloading for about 5 years and I also build rifles from mauser actions, hunting and BR types. I do a lot more reading than I do posting. The one thing that I might add is that whenever load data is posted try and get a confermation from other members or from printed data before using that data.0 -

It's not like its going to cost a dime more to have 3-4 guys helping out with the forum. Unlike like GD and other forums mis-leading information here can lead to some serious trouble. There are a few members concerned with the "liability" of this forum so therefore a lot of people feel that the more eyes we have watching over it, the better.
And yes, lets look at GD forum. You know as well as I do its a freaking circus in there some times.0 -
there shouldnt be a liability.. if someone on general discussion suggests that someone buy a glock, and the glock kb's and breaks the bones in their hand, is GB liable?

If gunbroker will agree to start a reloading forum (directed by admin) I will volunteer to have several attorneys look over the disclaimer, at no cost to GB, once GB admin writes a disclaimer. If this is a consideration to have a reloading forum, I hope my little contribution can offer some help.

I think that is a great contribution Dave. Should take some of the worries of admin and give him a lil CYA. 0 -
let me quote the nosler manual
"To safely use this or any other guide or manual, you msut keep yourself well informed on the technical progress of relaoding. It is our belief the information offered will result in safe operation if the proper equipment and components are applied in a resonanble manner. Because Nosler Inc has no control over the actual components selected, the manner in which the components are assembled, or the condition or quality of equipment used, no responsibility either expressed or implied is assumed for the use of this guide or for any other nosler product. In no event shall nosler Inc be liable for any damages that result from the use of this book, wether in contort, tort or otherwise, including consequential damages."
The persons giving load data are not owners nor paying members or associates of gunbroker. Even if a blow-up were to happen,..how could you prove the load that was in the chamber of the gun when that occured? the evidence has been turned to plasma and eventually deposited all over the environment. Not to mention that no-one offering data here works for a powder/bullet/primer/case/rifle company.
Let's just keep it simple and share reloading advice and data.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

JustC I agree!

That's all we need! Heck I will say it one more time. We will talk how to fix brakes on a car/truck in the Gen. area. isn't that just as important? And no disclaimer?
Come on, lets use our heads shall we. Lets Keep it clean!

I'll throw another vote for ATF. A couple mods is a good idea though. 0 -

Okay. I see a moderator if we need to kick someone off who is a troll or dangeorus.
But Maybe an open message that is a statement of the forums purpose and the commandments of safe reloading posted permanently there would do as much good. I am talking visible each time you go to the forum.

So far so good. I think at this point if we see something wrong E-mail Nunn or Icon. or Captin. If we wish to keep this part of the forum clean we ALL need to watch and act as if we are moderators.
