Exactly right; you are not easily fooled! In reality this will simply be another legal exercise that proves a dead end for gun ownership. Folks were slapping each other on the backs two years ago and there are no more guns in DC today then the day before the ban was "overturned". It will however provide a nice vehicle for a certain large National organization to proclaim to it's members: "Look what we did, we got the ban overturned". The reality of course is that overturning any gun laws which do not directly increase the ability of law abiding Americans to own firearms is no real victory.0 -
These two cases SHOULD be extremely revealing to those that INSIST that the 'proper response' to injustice is to take it to Court.
Bullsnit. The Highest court in the land is incapable of reaching a coherent decision concerning four words that are clear and unambiguous to all but a socialist or Fascist determined to destroy the Republic.
The ' Courts of last resort' have proven to be just that..the last resort of any hope to resolve the problem ...without resorting to the final method of the Founders.
I fully expect a wave of gun control the likes of which Americans have never seen..what we endure today will be as childs' play compared to what is coming.

An absolute prohibition on government from infringing upon a citizens fundamental right to keep and bear arms is perverted openly to now supposedly mean that government can indeed infringe 'reasonably' upon what is absolutely prohibited.
This is hailed as a great victory for individual liberty and the champagne corks are heard popping all around the nation.

I know it is an opinion, and I have my own thought, but I am just wondering where you think it will go....(I am nursing a cocktail as I write this so it might be a little shaky)....0 -
Opinions are like...left elbows...most everybody got one.
However, I think that politicians all across this country will look at the supremes decision, and move to fill the gap. Gun laws just short of total bans...just so very difficult to buy a weapon most will not.
They will point to the decision today as validation for their actions...
It will make it difficult for we the few that support a Republic...There may well be men dying on their doorsteps within the next year.0 -
There will be push to outlaw private sales, all sales will have to be recorded/registered with govt. Fed, state, local, won't matter, we know all end up in the same data base anyway.
Incremental as usual, don't upset the citizens too much, lest they feel obligated to act.0 -

Many more people are killed by poorly trained and negligent drivers each year than killed by guns. Yet any pissant can get a DL with little effort or cost.

That would accomplish only one thing: once again show their true colors, which is unnecessary since they've been flaunting them all along.
