So-Tell me about your house
Ours was built in 1892. Keep original as possible when we put an addition on 20 years ago. We're on a rather large lake up here in cheese land!

I moved from cookie cutter house in Florida to NorthEast PA and our family calls it “The Cabin House”.
The cold weather brings a lot of maintenance and upkeep, but I love this place.

Our home was built in 1991. It was designed by my FIL and he supervised most of the building of it. Three bedrooms, 2 3/4 baths, beautiful view of the Sun rising in the East from the kitchen and nice sunsets on the porch almost every evening…..We finished off remodeling the whole place a few years ago and added a deck.
The home replaced the old family homestead that dated back pre-Civil war. It was too far gone to be saved. We are the 4th generation of my Bride's family to live on the property and we have researched owners of the property back into the 1700's.
All of the old outbuilding are gone now too with the exception of the Cellar house which was build in the 1890's as near as we can figure. When we moved down here, we hired an Amish crew to come in and redo the foundation, upgrade some of the barnboards and fix up the roof. My wife uses it as a garden shed now…

Up here in New York State on the Vermont border. The deed has an estimate…all the floor joists are logs with the bark still on them. From the style of the house, they call it and eyebrow house, I'd say 1820 or so. Real Grandma Moses stuff..🙂

Our home is a six-bedroom home on 1 acre in 1974. Our other home is a five-bedroom rancher, built in 1995 on two and a half acres. It is our rental property. Our home in the mountains is a three-story home built in 2010 on 70 acres in Upstate PA. Originally bought it in 1982 and it was a tiny three-bedroom hunting cabin. We tore it down and built a family home there. It is surrounded on three sides by 56,000 acres of state game land. Our nearest neighbor is one and quarter miles away. We named it Tranquility acres. I don't hunt it, as I leave it as a refuge for the animals. I only hunt the game lands. Oak
