When I was a kid, I wanted to be Bucky Dent. That sealed it for me.

Don't really have a favorite but am waiting for one of the announcers to sing the "Wabash Cannonball" like ole Dizzy Dean use to do on TV back in the 60's.

    Wow, what a finish.

Bottom of tenth, bases loaded, 2 outs, and boom, a grand slam.

Dodgers take game one 6 to 3

We follow the Mariners all season, but not other teams/games. Then for World Series pretty much coin toss, pick one.

As I might have posted before, I wish that the Yankees & ND football never win another game. Before I get trashed here let me explain. When I was a little kid around 1949 I became interested in sports. All I ever heard for years was the Yankees & ND. I go sick of hearing about them. And now you know the rest of the story. 75 years later, I still feel the same.

Jeff, it's just the opposite in so. w. Va. as I'm surprised to find so many Yankees fans. They say that growing up the only games televised were the Yankees, so they became fans.

As an Atlanta Braves fan, I wish they both could lose.

This series is beginning to seem like a home run derby.

Oh no, Ohtani just got injured. Hurt his wrist sliding into 2nd. If he's out it will be a huge loss to the Dodgers.

Game 2 goes to the Dodgers. 4 to 2

    2-0 for this series

Another exciting ending, though it's hard to top last night. I haven't seen an update on Ohtani yet.

"As an Atlanta Braves fan, I wish they both could lose."

I know the feeling. I grew up in Atlanta. Heck, I was on the Braves Ground Crew in 1969. When it starts to rain and they roll that huge tarp out onto the infield? That was me.

At least, the Braves won it all one time, 1996 or so.

What about the Falcons? My brother and I saw the first game they ever played, an exhibition game at the new Stadium in 1965. we had the first pro football team in the South. No team in Miami yet, no team in Charlotte. Falcons lost that game, of course.

But it looked like all our suffering would be redeemed several years ago. Not only the miracle that the Falcons had made it to the Super Bowl, but we were beating Tom Brady and the Patriots by 22 points at halftime! My brother was over here watching that game with me. And he said "Even the Falcons can't blow this lead."

    Wrong.

    I read he dislocated it.

Yeah I heard it was partial dislocated shoulder. Ouch. He's still recovering from right elbow surgery. Report says he is scheduled to play Monday night with the injury. I don't agree with that call, further damage could be career ending.

Game 1 was an amazing ending !

The most dramatic way to win and the most dramatic way to lose .

If Aaron Judge cannot start hitting this may be a quick ending for the Yankees.

    Game 3 done.

    Dodgers Win 4 to 2

Ohtani played full game, and without any further injury.

"From the great Atlantic ocean to that wide Pacific shore the Yankees say they won't play the Dodgers anymore, they fly from town to town chasing that World Series crown"……..Dizzy Dean never sang that one but one very similar in tune only 😀

Boy the Yankees just might win tonight. But I don't believe they have it to win 4 in a row, which is what they need.

Tonight is a bullpen game. Stands to reason the Yankees are winning this one. Game 5 will be a different story. I'm a Tommy Edman fan since he's a former Cardinal and a really nice guy. I would love to see him get a ring.
