DADS we may have a democratic voting system but its stops there, we are a nation of laws and rules, not a democracy 0 -
When Trump was hammering her about the emails, he also should of mentioned Slick Willie and Valerie Jarretts little meeting.
He had her on the ropes and let her off.
Also when talking about the inner cities and the black neighborhoods, he should have been more concise about the democratically controlled cities like Detroit, Chicago, etc....... I thought he was too vague there.0 -
I will vote for Trump.....the debate was a draw.....Hillary will be the next President.....decided 2 yrs ago by a select few.......get ready [:(] 0 -
He did talk like a businessman. Focused on the numbers, which I like. 0 -

I think he did really well there. Yes,he had her,she knew it,we knew, then he let her off. Point was still made.0 -
I think too many republicans worry about how someone looks rather than 4 to 8 more years of being flushed down the toilet. Keep jacking your jaws about how bad Trump looks and that's where the country will go. 0 -
Current Polls:
http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2016/09/who_won_debate_trump_clinton_poll_live_presidential.html
Trump : 53.35%
Clinton : 41.70%
Neither : 3.28%
Don't Know : 1.67%
Other polls are following suit.
One I looked at showed an 80% No Change in expected vote with both Trump and Clinton running 50-50 as to who won tonight.0 -
He missed some very easy opportunities by getting lost in the weeds responding to attacks against himself. The cyber security issue was a perfect example. He doesn't articulate ideas very well and that will hurt him. I so wanted him to verbally slap that smug grin off captain pantsuits face and he blew it. Disappointed, but then I predicted I would be disappointed after this non debate. 0 -
My opinion is that Trump came across unpolished either by design or personality.
The American people are tired of the Status Quo and do not want a career politician back in the White House.
While I don't think Trump came across as polished as Clinton did... I don't think it actually hurt him.
The polls currently seem to agree.0 -

Very true. He hit some great points. Focusing on her time in government vs what she has accomplished is big. So was his comment about being $20 Trillion in debt, and having nothing to show for it but crumbling infrastructure, bad freeways, and 3rd world airports.
We sometimes spend too much time with how we would like a candidate behave, and ignore what a majority of voters will respond positively to. Then we lose.0 -
Democracy or Republic, whatever you want to call it, we elect people that do not do what is best for the country, just what is best for their voters. Not what is Constitutional, but what they can get away with. There is little honor in politics. Or politicians. 0 -

I have not found one yet that she has come close to winning, except for the CNN poll, and that's to be an expected whop sided loss.0 -

He even admitted he gave up several gut shots on the slimy devil. Which I think shows real promise....0 -

One thing you gotta keep in the front of your mind pondering this verbal boxing match and the 2 to come; She is allowed to come into the ring with 5 pounds of lead shot in each of her gloves, and Donald has to wear bedpillows for gloves.
He can not, may not and will not it the girl, but he can, will and must take every punch she throws.
Remember how her Senate opponent Lazio got skewered, pilloried and broken by the wheel for crossing the stage with a piece of paper in his hand and putting it on her podium. She has a whole team waiting to go punch a story out for every news outlet if Donald comes near HER safe zone.0 -
I thought he did well for his first "one-on-one." But he can do better.
He talked with passion, whereas she was wooden and mouthed the same boring pablum we've heard from 'bama the last eight years.
One mistake I think he's making, however, is his incessant talk about trade. I know he's a big businessman, but most Americans don't give much of a damn about trade.
I think he needs to start hitting on 'bamacare, illegals and other issues that incense most Americans.
Hopefully he learned a lot from tonight, and it will show up in the next round. But he's doing okay so far.0 -

Straight from the heart talk as opposed to Hillary preparing to give a lecture...one that is passionless at that, stinking with a smug, holier than thou attitude. Lester Holt rigged the debate as well, by steering clear of immigration which is Trump's baby...and ended it with the women issue, but all one has to do here is consider Lester Holt.0 -

This is my thoughts also. He will learn from this one and be more prepared or he will lose. She proved tonight she is not too sick to debate. There were many times he could have had much better retorts.0 -
I thought the moderator was supposed to stay out of the debate. Those democrats just can't help themselves. 0 -

I think another opportunity Trump missed was when he was talking about her commercials and how much she has already spent.
He should have hammered on the point that he got to the Republican nomination spending less than all other challengers, and he was spending his own money!
And he could of brow beat her for spending so much special interest money, like a true bought and paid for politician.
Easiest thing in this world to do, is spend someone elses money!
I believe he could bury her alive with just:
Exact and accurate numbers of the Obama economy and the actual unemployment rate. Also include the numbers for the "Under employed rate" and people not working that simply gave up and are not collecting unemployment.
You really want 4 or 8 more years of this?
The National Debt and how it has climbed under Obammy.
Immigration
Pay to play Clinton Foundation questions.
33,000 deleted emails and staffers pleading the 5th and being granted immunity. Along with Slick Willie meeting with Valerie Jarret.
Renting out the Lincoln Bedroom while she was first "lady".
Obamacare and her failed attempt at Hillary Care while Willie was Pres.
Ben Ganzi.
I would leave health, fitness, and stamina alone. She will flop again all on her own.
Stick to a script similar to this and Trump will win by a landslide.0 -

when Hildibeast toss in Rosie and the slams on women trump should have tossed in Monica and Jenifer as distractions and bills fondness for the girls if your so great why did bill go shopping [:D][:D]
I also suspected that Monica, Jennifer and others might be mentioned by Trumph and when they were not mentioned I suspect Trumph is holding that card back for little later. Trumph did hint that he could have mentioned some other things that were not nice about her.
Lester Holt: Heck anyone, even Trumph could see him favoring Hillary.
Debate moderators, especially journalists should at least act like they are not biased.
At the end of the debate Lester stood up and extended his hand to Hillary first for a handshake and sit back down not offering his hand to Trump and Trumph casually noticed and later Trumph made first move for a handshake with Lester and Lester did not fully stand up for the handshake. Anyone else notice such?
Also racial bias correction training that was mentioned needs to start within the news media and journalists like Lester Holt and with the POTUS and first Lady instead of training with law enforcement personnel.
(but no one can say such because it not politically correct, yet)0 -

If you. An watch this thing and vote for either of these idiots, you must loathe America. There are virtually no practical specifics from either candidate. A laundry list of attempted gotcha comments, some of which work and some of which fall flat. Given the choice of the three folks on the stage, I'd pick Holt over either of them.
A vote for anyone other then Trump is a vote for The pantsuit. Stop trying to convince yourself otherwise.
Statists on the left tell me a vote for Liberty is a vote for Trump.
Statists on the right tell me a vote for Liberty is a vote for Hillary.
In my case it is neither, as I would never vote for either of these two Big Government anti-gun leftists for my President.
Trump wants to disarm people on the street. Most folks on this board would be subject to Trump's stalk-and-frisk gun confiscation program if implemented in New York, Chicago, D.C., Philly, New Jersey, etc.
Some may even be denied access to a fundamental right because some bureaucrat put them on a watch list of some kind without their knowledge. Hillary supports the latter, and also supports much more onerous universal background checks and limitations on certain firearms.
Why, as a 2nd Amendment supporter, should I give a crap which one of these idiots wins the Presidency? One may encourage government to pass laws allowing us to keep different types of firearms, but neither has any concern for, knowledge of, or interest in preserving the individual Liberty that is inherent in the 2nd.
The debate simply confirmed my decision that neither is worth supporting, and that particularly in this election, it is time to further support for a better way than the two-party, statist cabal.0 -
He won the economy phase hands down and, no doubt, picked up some undecided voters on this issue.
His responses were measured and focused on what he felt were the key points he wanted to address...and when he did address them they were hammered home in a short, sweet, matter of fact manner.
I think he did just fine.0 -

He's a registered republican.
That is what he says. Whether it is true or not is another matter. And simply stating it does nothing to explain away Holt's obvious bias.
What is not debatable is the simple fact that Holt asked a series of questions that put Trump on the defensive, and asked diddly squat of Hillary concerning deleting the the emails after they were under federal supoena, Clinton Foundation, Benghazi, sniper fire in Bosnia...the list is endless.0
