Did change out the Mirrors. Could not see anything out of them. Found a pair at J&p that have Skeleton hands holding the Mirror. But got them cause they are larger and got a great surprise I can now see and they stay where I put them.0 -

1970'ish Mini bike of unknown make. 5hp Briggs & Straton.
1972'ish Honda Trail 90.
1976 Yamaha RD 200. (Chambers, & K&N's of course.)
1975'ish Suzuki RM 125.
1982 Kawasaki KZ750. (Highly modded.) Was racing at a Kawi dealership at that time. This bike was a back-up for our full on race bikes.
1990'ish Kawasaki Ninja 250. A sweet handling machine. (14K redline!)
1975 Yamaha RD350. (Spec.II chambers, rear sets, K&N's ported/polished etc. (Raced WERRA with it.)
1965 BMW R50. (Should have never sold it.)
1999 BMW R650 Funduro (dual sport) Still have it.
I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. This is off the top of my head real quick. Rode quite a few very nice race bikes while RR at the Kawi dealership. (In the Army at that time. 1982-84'ish) Roxy's Kawasaki, Chambersburg, PA. (Seriously good times.)0 -

After 64 years of riding I am now down to a Yamaha Majesty scooter. My bad knee made shifting and throwing my leg over my bike almost impossible & the arthritis in my hand made it hard to work the clutch. 0 -

1977 BMW R100/7
Learned to ride on the 450. It was made to compete with British twins with 200 cc more engine. DOHC twin with torsion bars for the valve train. Red-lined at 9200, but owners manual said you could run it up to 12,000 on occasion. The song of that engine at high rpm's was nothing like the Honda twin putt-putt of other engines. I traded it in on the BMW because I wanted one because of their reputation and I got tired of shifting to keep. up with the crowd.
Got the 360 at a garage sale for the wife. Cut an inch of foam off the saddle and pop-riveted it back together, then dropped the front suspension by about an inch, and she was able to handle it, but her heart wasn't into it.
Bought the BMW new in 1977, and rode it until I was physically unable to, then sold it to my son after owning it for 35 years (at a reduced price, to keep it "in the family") (Mistake on my part) He sold it within a year. It still ran like new and had less than 50,000 miles.0 -
[:(] only one a early 750 triumph that was turned into a chopper it had the custom changes of the time
iron cross mirrors and sissy bay , extended forks . a little extra chrome ( mid to late 1970's when I had it )
my wife hated the idea of me on a motorcycle and I had a cousin who drove me nuts wanting it so I sold it to him
I have thought about getting another bike many times over the years as some of buddies had one but there all departed now . so odds are the one will be all I will have or will own0 -

had a Honda MT250 trail bike.
bought as salvage without a title for 80 bucks. dude swore up and down it runs if you fix the electrical problems.
got a haynes manual and an ohmmeter. checked all the wiring. couldn't find the problem.
checked some electrical parts. some were bad. replaced them. still wouldn't run.
spark plug wire good. spark plug should be working. carb getting gas.
I went through the wiring harness so many times I didn't even need the manual anymore. all should be good but it wouldn't run.
well I didn't have a car, so I wanted that motorcycle to run pretty bad. didn't know anybody with a truck so I pushed the $@# thing 10 miles to the Honda dealer for them to work on it. yes, 10 miles. do I want a frikkin motorcycle?? yes. so I had to push it if I want it fixed.
they couldn't find anything wrong with it.
pushed it back home.
took the motor off and took it apart. ??? nothing wrong. put it back together. put it on the side of the house and after a while it got stolen. oh well. somewhere in the neighborhood there was a motorcycle dumped because the thieves couldn't get it to start. I wasn't about to go looking for it.
some years later, my mom told me she didn't want me to have a motorcycle because she thought I would get in a wreck, so when I was gone she had a mechanic come to the house to screw it up so it would never run.
