    I do not like ether
    however Its standing poke at my wife. from me .
    for years her sister and mom along with my wife shared cooking holiday meals and who's house to meet at about 15 or so years ago it was to be at our house .
    my wife cooked so much food the night before and thanksgiving morning got up and started the turkey + more food
    her sister was responsible for several dishes she agreed to make and bring
    about a 1/2 hour before we were to eat my SIL called on her way
    said she had a terribly hang over got up late and failed to cook
    but , but , on the way stopped and picked up a single can of cranberry sauce .. wow I was so impressed [:(!]

    jellied, not the twigs and berries mess. and you CAN jazz it up. Just use a cookie cutter to cut shapes in the jelly slices

    Some people spoon it out, but it needs to be sliced like a roll. About 1/2"-3/4" thick. It's just beautiful when properly placed on the serving plate.

    Then eat it like a tiny pie [:D]

    Fresh made.

    Canned, either jelly or otherwise is like thinking that potted meat is ham. and anybody that thinks canned cranberry sauce is good, has never had fresh made cranberry sauce

    +1 .. Wife always buys bulk packs after Thanksgiving at the grocery store when they reduce the price. Straight into the freezer..We eat them year round.

    I'll drink the unsweetened cranberry juice, but am not a fan of cranberry sauce. Have never had any (fresh or canned) that wasn't loaded with sugar and consequently didn't taste much like cranberries.

    I like both.

    I make mine with some horseradish in it to give it some bite. I also like horseradish in my mashed potatoes.

    They are so hard to make... Get a sauce pan.. fill with a cup of water, one cup of sugar..bring to boil.. dump in the ocean spray cranberries... when they all quit popping.. remove from heat.

    I've always considered the cranberry a berry that the native's found growing wild way back when and decided to eat it when they were nearly starving. A last resort for sure in my taste buds honest opinion.

    No canned stuff here.

    We make out own from a old family recipe (well guarded).
    Cranberry's, Oranges (whole), Pineapple, Pecans, and more.
    It was lost for a few years and we could not replicate it. Too many folks trying to help out.

    Found the original scrape of paper, stuck to a page in and old copy of the Joy of Cooking.

    Now it is just right, again, Just my son and I working the batch up.
    Always make it 2 days before the Holidays.

    oh yeah...wife makes it...goes into the dressing, on turkey and some on the mashed potatoes mixed into the gravy...LOVE IT!!!
