22 mag question
Okay who makes the cartridge with a C on the head. I just had one that went off like a bomb, pushed the brass into the vents inside the chamber and was a trick to get out. Seems like this thing had a lot of extra smoke and noise. Any ideas?

Someone might say that the HiStandard is not up to the job, being only 2 shots.
However in most concealed carry situations it would work well.
Three guys come up to you and the wife at night in the parking lot, all three have knives. They don't know you have a gun!
If they knew you had a gun they would not mess with you.
Of course, in this situation, I would prefer to have the Beretta 92FS with 14 hollow points in the mag. But the Beretta doesn't fit in my pocket.
So, you pull the little HiStandard, and the first guy, closest guy, you shoot him in the chest. I have worked dozens of gunshot wounds as a paramedic and believe me, the guy with a single .22 mag in the chest is headed to the ER, and quite likely, the morgue. Have you seen the fireball that gun puts out at night? The other two guys don't know you just have 1 shot left for all they know, you have 14 more.
The two buddies, who are punk bullies and who do not have a strong warrior spirit, will probably run away.
If not, shoot the second assailant in the chest. Or belly, just as good. Problem solved.
The 9/11 hijackings would have been stopped if every pilot and copilot carried no more than the HiStandard.
The Hadjis break down the cockpit door, the co pilot shoots the first Hadji right in the chest. Hard to miss at 6 feet. It hurts!
This guy is going down.
Now these guys did have a strong warrior spirit so the second Hadji would have tried to enter the cockpit. Of course, he did have to step over the body of his buddy. He gets shot in the belly. Takes the fight right out of him.
Then the co pilot says to the pilot, "May I borrow your HiStandard?"
This would have been a dilemma for the last three Hadjis. They don't know how many shots you have but they know bodies are piling up in the cockpit door.0 -
I have 3 of the AMT,s , I need to down size never had problems with early AMT,s one of my long slides has light strikes with firing pin. tks.hedge[:D] 0
