22 mag question

Okay who makes the cartridge with a C on the head. I just had one that went off like a bomb, pushed the brass into the vents inside the chamber and was a trick to get out. Seems like this thing had a lot of extra smoke and noise. Any ideas?

    How do the ballistics compare to a .380? And does anyone make a 22 mag. in a small carry type design? Thanks

    The S&W 351PD or 351C are nice little 7 shot J Frames in .22 Mag. Information I have read shows the .22 mag in the right configuration is even slightly better than the .380.

    I carry a 351C as a back up from time to time or as a main carry in hot weather.

    have one of the NAA in 22 mag..like to have a NAA sidewinder 2.5"... easier to load...carry one at the lake place with mag shot for copperheads...disappears in a pocket...charter arms has one of the smaller revolvers in 22 mag..i carry one in 32 mag sometimes

    The only ones I can think of are not very small I do know some that carry the Kel Tec PMR

    I sometimes CC my 351PD but I would not want to try To CC with my PMR 30

    The only auto in .22 Mag that would be ok for ccw is a used AMT Auto Mag II but they are long discontinued and fetch crazy $$ on the auction side. I also don?t remember them being too reliable. You COULD CCW the KelTec PMR30 but again reliability is the problem..if you don?t load their magazines just right they jam. If you just have to carry a .22 Mag I?d go with the Ruger LCR or S&W 351. I?d almost look at a Glock 42 and run good ammo if you want a small semi auto gun in a small caliber.

    I don't know this,but just assumed that with the length of a 22 mag round out of a short barrel not being able to completely burn the powder charge,it would lose any advantage of it being a magnum and you would do just as well with a 22 LR.

    The S&W 351PD is a 7-shot J-frame 22-Mag revolver that is very very light so it jumps a bit when fired. Tuck in into a holster behind your hip and it is extremely comfortable to carry all day. Cylinder is aluminum.... empties don't drop out as cleanly as I would wish.

    Speer (and probably other ammo makers) offers a special 22 Magnum round for short barrels.

    I have a lcr in 22 mag that I carry at times.
    Mostly when going to the store or close by to eat I take my
    Hi Standard 22Mag,slips right into the pocket.

    Yep, I slip my High Standard .22 mag in my pocket whenever I'm someplace I can't carry something more. However, you should probably wear ear protection whenever you are carrying that little beast. That's the loudest gun I own.HUH! WHAT!

    Kimber had .22 mag conversion just like their .22 long rifle conversion for a 1911, but it had feeding problems so they discontinued it.

    I would think you would at least need a four-sided Barrel minimum to develop any energy out of a .22 Mag. Put on that I'm just guessing

    I have a HiStandard derringer in .22 mag. Slip it right into your pocket. No safety to mess with this is a good carry gun.

    I have two AMTs both reliable and a High Standard, nine round steel snubby. I carry other stuff. For years, I only had one choice a snubby like this one.
