In Canada They have Made Pot Legal
It seems The Federal Government in Canada are going to become themselves a third world country first in North America. I guess the federal police will have to take vacation to indulge and I don't know about Canadian NATO Armed Forces However.

It is about time.
I smoked my first joint in 1970 while in college. I thought it should have been legal then, and I think it should be legal now in America.
I have two friends from high school who crawled into a dime bag of pot in 1970 and have been stoned ever since. Today these guys are 68 years old, and pot ruined their lives.
But, the point is, they could get all the pot they wanted for 50 years.
Back when they started, possesion of a joint was a felony in Georgia but they got all the pot they wanted.
When I built the addition onto my log cabin 3 years ago I hired a young 32 year old guy as my helper. He grew up in the country near Nashville.
And he told me, he used to skip school when he was 15 and he and his buddies rode around and smoked pot all day.
This ain't San Francisco, far from it, and in rural Tennessee, 15 years ago, high school kids got all the pot they wanted.
The war on pot is a failure.
Legalise it.
I smoked plenty of pot when I was in college, and while I was a paramedic in central Georgia. Most of the medics liked to smoke it, and I have been to many, many hospital parties, and smoked pot with plenty of RNs and lab techs. Hospital girls like to party.
Yes, in central Georgia, 30 years ago, long, long way from San Francisco, lots of highly trained hospital employees liked to smoke a joint at a party. I even smoked a joint with an ER doc one night.
By the way I haven't had any pot in 25 years. If I am at a party, as I was last week, and they bring the reefer out I have to take a hike, and not a hit as I might do, we CDL guys get fired if we flunk a random drug test.0 -

Eventually the US Federal Government will realize that the prohibition of marijuana is a State or individual decision. The law in Canada works differently than that in the US. I seems that Ottawa has legalized marijuana nation-wide. In the US, this is not (yet) being considered, only the elimination of Federal regulation/classification.
Individual states would (unlike individual provinces in Canada) retain the power of making/keeping marijuana illegal be it the will of the citizens of the state.0 -

I believe habitual drug user is one of the banned categories for gun ownership, but I may be wrong about that.
Never smoked, never been drunk but I have nothing against people who do smoke and drink. It just isn't for me. Same with grass smokers, especially if they are in pain.0 -
Has anyone seen what type of restrictions there will be. I haven't seen it any where. Are you going to be able to walk down the street smoking a number. Is there an age limit. Alcohol has these restrictions so I guess it should be the same. I have used and abused drugs and alcohol, but it's not something that kids should be exposed to. 0 -
