mostly a lot of the best were from years gone by as well as most of them .
some of the early SNL members that went on to make movies were / are good .
I know some of the old ones talked rough foul language and so on I do have a issue with it and find some funny but seemed like a lot of the better ones never had to pull such words out of the bag of tricks to keep people laughing0 -
current "jokesters" like colbert and fallon should take lessons from the ones past ..real funny stuff instead of incessant trump bashing... don't watch em anymore 0 -

I agree with all of the above. But one name is missing, the late John Pinette.
If you have never heard of him, here's a link to some of his videos and other information about him.
He had the ability to make you laugh out loud, without using profanity. He died way too young.

I have to agree with you on John Pinette Bubba! Watched some of his video's a few years ago with my wife and brother in law.

Too many to list but I like all comedy from the raunchy to the clean.
A few of my favorites are Richard Pryor, Buddy Hacket, Robin Williams, Rodney Dangerfied, Red Foxx and many many others.

Still think Dave chappelle is one of the kings of stand up and carries the torch for Red Fox and dolomite and Pryor and Murphy...
And if you do like Blue comedy google the degenerates half hour comedy special series - pretty epic cast of characters.
Buddy hackett and Milton Berle and Bob saggett also went blue to good effect.
At least nobody said bill Cosby or Louis CK...

We saw Jim Gaffigan a few months ago when he was here for a concert.
He had me, my wife and our kids laughing out loud His humor crossed over generational lines. His material was very clean and very funny.0 -
