Naming Cats
I have three OUTDOOR barn cats, well actually one old cat and two kittens born in October. I have had many excellent dogs that had proper names Peppie, Bert, Gracie, Cleo ect.
My cats names are as follows
Cat one the elder is named, Cat.
Kitten one with more white is named, Cat.
The last one more yellow than white is named, Cat
Some folks claim I need to name them and my reply is "I DID!"
What say you on appropriate names for cats?

My younger brother was (is) a cat lover. Back in the early 60's he had 19 cats. Dad got fed up with them and said my brother could keep one, and the rest were going to the pound. It took about an hour to round them all up in a big box.
Dad left for the pound that was about at least a 45-minute drive there and back. He was back in about 15 minutes. My brother didn't suspect anything (he wasn't too bright), but I knew he dumped them out in the country somewhere. [:0][:D]0 -
I do not love cats at all; they can be interesting outdoor pets but not like. adog They serve a purpose and that is killing mice. They do a fairly good job at it especially when mice get caught trying to eat the dry cat food in the barn. 0 -

We have two inside cats, the big one is named Wally, that was his name when I rescued him. Then we have Hadji, we got him while living in Kuwait, he was hit by a car and left for dead then along comes a few American girls and saved him and now we have him. She spent a ton of $$ on him and flew him here to the USA, he is a Muslim kitty and I feed him bacon and sausage.
We had a pregnant female dropped off, we have 3 barn cats left from that fiasco. Coyotes, eagles and hawks took care of a few including the momma cat and we rehomed the rest. The three we have and take care of are named after Sons Of Anarchy characters, Jax, Chibs and Rat. Rat is called that because he was under the hood of the pickup and when the engine fired up he lost his tail. We feed them even though they are wild, you can get close to them when they are hungry but don?t be a fool and try to pet or pick them up. Bry?ann picked one up and after about 3 seconds she almost needed to go to the ER for stitches. With those cats hanging out we had some bad things happen a d good things happen. The bad was I had a nice den of cotton bunnies living under the chicken coop, they are gone and so are the little yard goblins which I used to use for target practice. But the mice have all but dissapeared as well, we had a serious mouse problem in the garage but now we rarely see any. I do miss my rabbits, they were almost tame, couldn?t pet them but you could get within a foot or so and feed them.0 -

Blame LOML for our two cats.
Oldest cat is "Harley" -- his purr is a rumble you can hear across the room. Dumped at friend's house and their dogs objected.
Other is "Rocky". She volunteered at local shelter and they had a kitten that was so young it's eyes weren't open. End of day she admitted "Sucker" was written across her forehead and brought him home.
Got his name from way he attacked bottle when we were feeding him. Easiest was was to hold him on his back and offer him bottle -- he'd go after it like a boxer goes after the "fast bag" until he got both paws hooked in it, then he'd empty it quickly.
He is part Main Coon -- got the ears, feet and size. When he wants outside he doesn't bother with patting the doorknob like other cats -- he goes for the dead bolt above the doorknob.
And my recliner is now a "time share" situation[;)]0 -

Worked a dairy farm in WA one summer with about 80 cats that would show up at milking time for their mouser pay. Made the mistake of picking up one of the young ones, and almost lost a hand up to the elbow!0 -

Got a Part Main Coon cat at my Son's. Its just a big lover. Named Marco(his Daughter Named Him). I had to ask while I was there about his Nose that cat has one of the Biggest Noses I have see and they said it was cause he was a Main Coon.
Now their Ferret is Named Rocky.0 -
Had a cat we called Ferret Face. Never meowed until she was about 8yrs old, just made ferret noises.
