Wife just gave me the ok to buy a Ruger Alaskan in 454, and a like new Thompson 50 cal Hawken. It's great the first guns I don't have to hide in awhile! [:D]

Obviously it is unimportant that it flies directly in the face of Section 24 of the Washington State Constitution.
SECTION 24 RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men.
The storage requirement impairs the right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself.
The age restriction on semi-auto firearms impairs the right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of both himself and of the state.
The 'enhanced background checks' include the provision that prior to taking delivery of pistol or semi-auto rifle, the buyer needs to provide to the transfer agent a letter from his county sheriff that he is legally permitted to own said pistol or semi-auto rifle. It also stipulates that the buyer must show proof that he has successfully completed a firearm training course (syllabus is defined) within the past 5 years.
The intent and the effect are clear. This is designed to make it such a pain in the ass for legal gun owners/buyers that they will forego a purchase otherwise planned.

I hate to say it but semi auto firearms as they currently are made will probably be nothing but a memory in this State in a decade. The democrats control all three branches in Olympia. And King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties control voting (just like California now). This is just the beginning of what is coming. I?ve already informed my wife we may not be staying in this State much longer. But the bad part is you can?t even rely on going to typically gun friendly States anymore because they can always flip too. Look at parts of Montana and Texas. 0 -

It's so incredibly stupid. I already own a 10/22 (and many that are much more powerful and capable than that), which incidentally is now defined as an assault rifle and to buy another one I have to get a permission slip, and go through training? F_u_c_k that!0 -

That language is pretty boiler plate. Basically, what it means is that the prosecution can choose not to bring charges against you if you're already dead or locked up.0 -

Come to Missouri. Our laws are pretty good. We have the best CCW license in the country (recognized by more states than any other) if you choose to get it. If not, you don't need it for in State CC. No mag restrictions, and "assault weapon" nonsense. Plus some decent hunting and fishing as well. 0 -
