Wife just gave me the ok to buy a Ruger Alaskan in 454, and a like new Thompson 50 cal Hawken. It's great the first guns I don't have to hide in awhile! [:D]

I traded her so she can buy a some hair stuff like hair dryer, flat iron, ect. She asked how much these guns would run and my response was a few hundred haha. I didn't lie. [:I]

Well, it's good news for all you commie gun grabbers who don't like me on this forum.

The voters in WA state decided I am a criminal, and soon I may be locked up.

I look forward to observing your celebrations.
I'll be in the next cell over if I don't get the hell out of this fu state.

Even the more conservative Spokane county voted in favor of this utter trash. 51.85% Yes to 48.15% No.

This once gun friendly state is doomed to become NY. Confiscation is coming.

It's only saving grace is that currently, statewide, people seem to still be against taxes.

The voters in this cesspool are a bunch of scared little children who look to big brother for protection and have no issue sacrificing their (and by extension, our) right and ability to protect ourselves in the process.

Obviously it is unimportant that it flies directly in the face of Section 24 of the Washington State Constitution.

SECTION 24 RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men.

The storage requirement impairs the right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself.

The age restriction on semi-auto firearms impairs the right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of both himself and of the state.

The 'enhanced background checks' include the provision that prior to taking delivery of pistol or semi-auto rifle, the buyer needs to provide to the transfer agent a letter from his county sheriff that he is legally permitted to own said pistol or semi-auto rifle. It also stipulates that the buyer must show proof that he has successfully completed a firearm training course (syllabus is defined) within the past 5 years.

The intent and the effect are clear. This is designed to make it such a pain in the ass for legal gun owners/buyers that they will forego a purchase otherwise planned.

I hate to say it but semi auto firearms as they currently are made will probably be nothing but a memory in this State in a decade. The democrats control all three branches in Olympia. And King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties control voting (just like California now). This is just the beginning of what is coming. I?ve already informed my wife we may not be staying in this State much longer. But the bad part is you can?t even rely on going to typically gun friendly States anymore because they can always flip too. Look at parts of Montana and Texas.

It's so incredibly stupid. I already own a 10/22 (and many that are much more powerful and capable than that), which incidentally is now defined as an assault rifle and to buy another one I have to get a permission slip, and go through training? F_u_c_k that!

It is important to note how these two major infringements occurred, Mr. P.

Voter initiatives. A simple majority vote can enforce the whim of the majority upon a minority.

There was a time in this country, and in this state, where the belief and practice was that Governments are instituted among Men to protect the rights of the individual.

Those once limited governments are not being used to control people.

This half-assed initiate is going to directly and negatively affect the lives of people.

I had hoped it would be defeated.

I had hoped that there were more sensible voters in this (yes, S-F is correct) crap-hole state than there were frightened children.

    It is very disappointing.

I don't see this going away, or getting better. The AG is a communist who wants to round up all the guns, and he has hopes of being the next governor... which he will win, if he runs. I have to get out of here quickly.

This will be challenged, and there are many of us who will financially support the challenge. There may be a problem in finding a judge who is not an agenda-driven leftist puke, however.

I don't believe there is one in this state. The battle will be very long in any regard. Meanwhile, folks like me will be locked up.

This nonsense is happening in the northeast. NY, Nj, Taxecusettes, etc. Its a shame but folks are moving out because of it.
The cancer of the gun grabbers is spreading and there is no idea where the California version will infect the left coast.

quote:(4) If a death or serious injury occurs as a result of an
alleged violation of subsection (1)(a) of this section, the
prosecuting attorney may decline to prosecute, even though
technically sufficient evidence to prosecute exists, in situations
where prosecution would serve no public purpose or would defeat the
purpose of the law in question.

Isn't this a little "vague"? How many cases that civilians would say "would serve no public purpose" will be prosecuted for political reasons?

Even if parts of this are thrown out in court it will show others what can be done and the fight will continue.[xx(]

That language is pretty boiler plate. Basically, what it means is that the prosecution can choose not to bring charges against you if you're already dead or locked up.

Randy, you have my sympathies. I see Florida starting the slow journey down this same path. It's the liberal vermin that breed like animals and spread out all over the country.

They are good at what they do.[xx(]

I don't see any options to move for another year and a half or so. My youngest in in her Jr. year and I really don't want to disrupt the program she is in. But I will be moving.

Come to Missouri. Our laws are pretty good. We have the best CCW license in the country (recognized by more states than any other) if you choose to get it. If not, you don't need it for in State CC. No mag restrictions, and "assault weapon" nonsense. Plus some decent hunting and fishing as well.

Thanks, but Idaho is a much more viable option for me for a million reasons.

I suppose you have friends and family you would want to stay close to, or other silly reasons.[:)]
