I built this from the frame up and it's special gun

Forge monkey please help a brother out with an auction item

I would prefer this one went to one of our members - who can and will appreciate it

    109 sold to date - several running right now through GB auction side via locust fork - 14 more getting boxes and sent to Kasey...

    4 pieces sold in the $5000 to $10,000 range on GB or via RIA or private sale

    The balance of the .25 acp semiautomatic pocket pistol collection (38 of 50 pieces) going to a private collector.

    I lost my house - sold one car - sold the BMW motorcycle

    My jewelry is gone - the white ironstone is gone - my science fiction signed first editions are gone including all the annotated Heinleins

    The laptop and desktop docking station (Lenovo and razor) are gone

    But no-one here is obligated to help me in any way - but why someone would feel the need to publicly note they will not do so or would make statements that seem critical of those who wanted to help me or to somehow invalidate my need for help or somehow invalidate it downplay or criticize what I am going through is beyond me - it escapes me - and I find it sad and hurtful.

    Thanks for the input though - perhaps your hoping to change the dynamic and to influence others to not be charitable or philanthropic or to not assist me in the proposed manner.

    There I go again - this is why many folks apparently hate me.

    Sorry maybe the brain tumour was pushing against something important and made me act out.

    I think I will take the rest of the night off before pitchforks and torches come out.

    God bless the balance of the membership here - while I still feel humiliated and emasculated and hideously disfigured and like I have failed in life and failed at being a man you have still humbled and honored me and it's a gesture I can never repay and am not sure is justified...

    4 really nasty hate filled toxic private emails today - soul crushing ones...

    After all you have been through, the last thing that should bother you are hateful e-mails. Just laugh at the pathetic losers that wrote them, and hit the delete button.

    It's not worth your energy being impacted by such lowlife tactics.

    Although doing so does not violate any posting guidelines, I'd like to urge the membership not to post too many personal details, particularly those of a financial nature. This is an open forum which anyone, member or not, can read. With that said, those members who wish to comment on another members finances, especially regarding what assets he may or may not have (firearms for example), are enjoined to keep their opinions to themselves!

    Good luck with the sale, Mike. I'm leaving the country tomorrow so I probably won't know the results until next month.

    My visits to Haiti and the Dominican Republic and Prince Edward Island and Mexico's sinaloa region pale in comparison.

    Are you going stag and sampling the local talent or will a lovely companion be accompanying you...

    At 36 years old with less then half the volumn and 1/16 the value of your collection you are not my peer. You are senior class and I am a freshman. I am honored to be associated with you and hope to soak up what information I can from you over many more years on this forum.

    Ok.....you guys need to get the gun bid up to $1000 with the understanding that if it goes higher than your agreed combination it will be let go to whoever wins.

    You guys are great and it is amazing to see how generous all of you are. We need to keep the unaware bidders in mind and they need to know to get this gun it will take more than $1000 to do so at this time. If the donations increase the bid needs to be raised to cover the total.

    You are all very welcome to contact me and voice any concerns you might have.....two of you need to get on this and make sure the bid stays at the current donation.

    In retrospect perhaps I have focused to much pride and vision of self worth on how many and what type of material possessions I have at any one point in time...

    When the actual embarrassment of riches before me would better be measured in the tally of folks whom might classify me as a friend or peer or mentor or cohort or companion or confederate or family or partner...

    Perhaps that part of the equation should at some point achieve primacy or possess more computational weight in the math of life...

    In many ways cancer has changed me - despite me desperate disperete attempts to be me - to retain my self worth and self identity...

    And in many ways the cancer had tempered me like a forge and sharpened me like the finest steel

    But sharp and strong and unbending while admirable qualities that may have played primary roles in keeping one step ahead of Mr. Grey and his malignant cohort cancer this hardening process has changed me in many ways I did not forsee and may not embrace.

    I have lost prized possessions which will never be regained.

    But the experience also has brought me a family - or the closest I will ever come to that tenuous definition.

    And from my perspective I have obtained true friends

    And been able to touch the lives of children in need and the families that walk with them

    I am still working it out in my head.
