Looks like you are set. Decent new glass is always a help to older eyes.[}:)]
I was not dissing your Vortex, they are very good glass for the price point and underrated. That said these days Burris and Leupold are mid-range glass too. Nightforce begins to get you near the top.
Fortunately for me, Top of the line just ain't necessary for the shooting I do. 250 yards is about my limit.0 -

This was the first rifle I ever purchased. It came with a Bushnell Trophy 3x9 scope on it that has always had one lens that's cockeyed just slightly. I finally got fed up with it. The nice thing about the Vortex is the warranty. If I throw this down on a rock and break it, they will replace it. And the optic was indistinguishable (to my eye) from a Leupold that was $100 more.
I just bough the most expensive pair of binocs I have ever bought, Vortex Diamondbacks for $229 12X50. Was told the same thing about the warranty, toss them off the mountain, pick up the pieces and send them to Vortex and I?ll get a new replacement.0 -
Can't beat the guarantee if they actually come though, and I imagine they do indeed. Still, not the same as a $3500 binocular from Swarovski (which I don't own either). The real gains with top of the line glass mostly have to do with low light and the edges of the day.

I got the furniture set at Costco. My wife liked the table in particular. I think it weighs as much as I do tho.0 -
