This is the great classic 1971 Bus. I owned this car and, dear God I wish I still had it.
It could be the proof of mental illness but I just love the old VW vans. I have owned 3 of 'em, a 1961, a 1968, and then this one. They have gone through the roof in the past 5 years, hard for even me to figure that one, but a good one like this today would go for $35,000.

In my younger days early 1980's a friend had a pinto wagon similar his was yellow with opera window and stripes
I swapped in a v-6 out of a mustang II in place of the 4 banger it came with
rebuilt a 440 for a charger he had ( would like to have it now ) he loved cars and racing his wife not so much seeing there $$ going to cars
as for me so many cars I would have a hard time picking one especially before 1970 that actually had some style and personality . I cash was not object I would be like Jay L he has a mazing collection ( I am sure many more but Jay is very open and sharing with his ) Les Baer of pistol fame has some cars I would love to have also .
way too many one off custom built cars over the years competing for the ridler award that are more art than cars
like most every thing in life money money money .

I remember high school, I was all ga-ga over a V8 Vega and how quick they are. Then my buddy took me for a ride in his dad's big block '67 Vette.
