I leave it out. Figure it’s pretty acidic what with being made with vinegar.

Sits on the table with salt and pepper along with soy sauce.

We refrigerate any opened soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, fish sauce, and obvious things like lemon/lime juice and pickled ginger. But I use the hot sauce too often to bother.

How does She feel about being made to get in there?

I prefer Franks Hot Sauce to Tabasco.   I do keep it in the fridge after it is opened.

Just finished a bottle of Franks. Was pretty good. Flavorful.

On some inexpensive Food Lion house brand bottle for 99 cents just now. (I buy it quite often.) I try to be frugal.

Crystal is my go to inexpensive flavorful brand.

*I do however have an assortment of higher end Hot, Hot stuff on hand. Green Chile Habanero, Moore's Red Habenero, etc. The inexpensive stuff is used in cooking. I go through it pretty quickly. When that Franks commercial comes on "I put that **** on everything." I laugh, because I do too.

Have you humped a few bottles in the past Sam?? I know a lot of troops keep hot sauce in their kit.

We keep ours in the fridge.   I've got several different hot sauces in there....crystal was at Sams, so I'll have enough of that around here to last several years.   Larry has been using something called hot dog sauce, I think its Red Hot???    I'm not big on hot sauce, but I do like it on a chicken sandwich every once in a while.    Larry would put it on just about anything.

I have read many times that you do not need to keep eggs, ketchup, or mustard in a refrigerator.

May be true but stuff like hot sauce that I use sparingly as well as all those things above go in my fridge because they were always in there when I was growing up.  :)

I just checked my Franks Hot Sauce for the expiration date and the bottle expired over a year ago.  :o No worries though!  I still take Ibuprofen 800's that expired back in 2014.  Still does what it is supposed to!

Either way works for me.  Leaving it out makes it more handy.

In the fridge because even tho bacterial growth isn't much of a worry, I think it helps maintain the flavor longer. Bob

We use "Franks" for our hot wings...not over powering...Cholula is a staple hot sauce for us...Not one of those "angry" hot sauces! We also found a great hot sauce on a road trip..."Pier 83 Louisiana Hot Sauce"...Pretty tasty... Has anyone tried "Pico Pica" hot sauce?...

I've heard of such things I've never experienced it.

As a very small boy, I'd sneak peppers out of grandpa's garden. If they were too hot, I'd sneak a cherry tomato to kill the burn.

When he was grinding horseradish in the basement, I'd sneak a pinch, between my cheek and gum. Loved the sinus burn.

I love, love, love hot/spicy, and I've never had any morning after ill affects I've heard about. But I'm also not dumb enough to eat a ghost pepper whole.

I like hot sauce, but I'm not a fan of the tobasco flavor.

Mustard is anti-bacterial and will keep forever. Some of my homemade mustard is in the fridge and likely 2 yr. old and will be there till I use it up.

Switched from Tabasco to Frank's about 8-10 yrs ago. Then from Frank's to Valentinas about 5 yrs ago. It's dirt cheap (a little over a buck at Winco) and we both like the flavor better. It's kept in the fridge.
