Any one seen the video of the latest police shooting in Kenosha?

Of course the rioting is already in full bloom but I saw the video on the news this morning and it sure looks like the guy makes a fast reach for something when he opens that car door. I've never been in law enforcement but if the officer thought he was going for a weapon. well as noted on this site many times play stupid games win stupid prizes. I suspect it won't be long before Defund the police won't be an issue it would take a heck of a person to sign up for that work in this day and age.

    Certainly we could do that, but then why are we even having this conversation? We are having a conversation basing our opinions on what information we have been provided. As more information is made available, we can alter our opinions appropriately.

    I have about ZERO sympathy for these miscreants. They want to keep pushing it, what do they think is going to happen? 🤔

    Law Abiding folk, (with weapons at some point) are going to/are getting fed up with the Lawlessness, that has been ALLOWED to happen/take place by those in charge (Mayors/Governors) that REFUSE to enforce the Rule of Law.

    It is coming.

    I am interested in hearing why all 3 officers had their guns drawn when following the suspect around the car. Must have been a reason. If he did not have weapon they could have attempted to subdue him physically or with the additional use of Tasers or pepper spray.  It is impossible to physically subdue someone, or use non lethal weapons, when you have your hands on your handgun. The PD needs to let the public know if the suspect had a weapon.

    I'm sure that after the investigation we will find out exactly that, or not. 
    My guess is (and we are all guessing at this point) that right now they want to give the situation time to cool off before they declare it to have been a justified shooting because the 'suspect' did indeed have a weapon.

    Yep the video doesn't show the whole story and there were some comments as to the police telling him to drop the knife. Kenosha is only 25 miles from where I live.

    Just read that a knife was found on the floorboard of Blake's car, and Blake admitted to having the knife. It will be interesting to see how the anti-police people respond to that. That information should have been released earlier. Professional baseball and basketball teams have cancelled their games today in protest. A professional football team refused to practice today in protest. The narrative may have completely changed. More information is needed. Rioting, killing, burning down the town, accurate information is essential ASAP.

    We now know more about the guy with the AR.  He's 17, & was there to help keep order, so he now says.
    He didn't have the maturity & common sense to realize that putting himself in the middle of an armed conflict with a gun isn't a smart thing for a citizen to do.  He got into trouble, & thought he had no choice but to shoot his attackers.
    Someone has to pay for the crime; it isn't going to be the mayor or the city council of Kenosha.

    I do wholeheartedly agree that a 17 yr. old "putting himself in the middle of an armed conflict with a gun," was an extremely poor choice. He is learning that now.

    Hopefully it will be determined that he ultimately had the right to defend himself.

    We can hope. (I hope.)

    This whole situation, (the rioting in general) is being allowed to get totally out of hand. (By Mayors and Governors.) These situations will be occurring more frequently if something is not done to bring about Law and Order.
