Still waiting for our stimulus check.

Have received zilch.  Keep checking "get my payment" online and told "we are eligible and will be deposited in our account".  This has been going on for 2 weeks.

    wonder if/when i get a check i could give it to the sheriffs dept for something they might need and take a offset deduction on taxes.....when the economy goes in the toilet we start seeing out of county tags ????  surfing around rural areas ...town north of us has a packing plant that may close if CV hits them big time like others.....Si

    My wife an I got ours about a week ago.  We are donating it to a cousin of hers that is down on her luck and needs a new car. 
    Dang it, there went the new flat screen TV! ;)

    I dividing my check up and giving it to those that helped me when I was down and out at one point in my life. Oh yeah, I forgot, there was no one that helped me when I really needed it, so I'm keeping it and blowing it on foolish crap!

    Haven't seen any free money here either and my plans of having Michael Angelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling painting tattoo'd on my back just aint happening until it gets here.  :D

     brooks if your anything like me, you could have the wife play connect the dots with the moles on your back then do a water color of the squares,  not sure it would look like the sistine chapel ceiling though, unless you got some real good drugs..........

    Just saw an article this morning that said that is going to take as long as 20 weeks to get checks out.  They are going to print 5 million checks a week and people with the lowest income will get the checks first.

    We got ours last week and we're keeping it. I don't feel guilty at all, been over taxed my whole damn life while others paid little or none, it's just a small return in my opinion.

    Read somewhere that vets on disability will get theirs with their next disability check.  Guess I will be waiting til my next birthday. :smiley:

    Got ours on the 15th, donated $250 to a company making and giving away masks to help replace the materials used. I did buy a new pistol and paid my hunting lease dues with some of it. Got a little left, wife wants to donate to the local food bank.

    According to my calculations, I'm supposed to be getting about $500, which would be nice since the Class 3 Special Occupational Tax is $500 and is due on 01 July. In the meantime, no payment received.

    Ours supplemented the emergency fund and will be giving some of it back next year of course.

    I keep getting a message that they can't determine my eligibility for a payment at this time. They had no problem determining that I owed them four grand after I put my wife on my healthcare plan, since its better then her employers..they considered it extra income on my part....

    I think the gov't is waiting for the first round of check getters to pay off their taxes so they will have funds to pay off the rest of us.  :D

    Steve Mnuchin admitted last week that "tens of millions" of stimulus payments didn't get sent due to "glitches".  For those of you not conversant in computer science terminology, "glitch" translates roughly to "somebody f*d up".

    On the bright side, the IRS website indicated last week that my stimulus would be deposited in my account today.  I checked it this morning, & the money was there.  Sometimes you get lucky.

    I see this as yet another way of punishing those who refuse to overpay their taxes, or those (like myself) who always owe taxes, and never get a refund. Everyone who I know who received a tax refund also received stimulus money. In the meantime, I am unaware of anyone who owes taxes who has seen a dime. I've filled tax returns for 2017 and 2018 at this address, so the IRS knows perfectly well where I reside, but there is no check in my mailbox.

    Won't get it.  Don't need it.  Wife did get a $40k pay cut last Friday.  Hey she's still working from home - that's a blessing.  
      I wish the CITIZENS who need it -get it.  College indoctrination centers with BILLIONS in endowments are getting it.  Some when called out are returning it.  Most are not. 
    Government program = another thieving cluster**** unfortunately.

    Same here,, I've had to pay in the last 4 or 5 years and i usually do so direct payment from my checking acc.  so they have my banking info , I've filed this years tax return back In early march , yet when i went to the IRS web site it told me they didn't have the necessary info to complete the stimulus check

    I stated quite clearly what I planned to do with the $500 in stimulus money the IRS income calculator indicated would be sent. I will use it to pay the Class 3 Special Occupation Tax for my firearms business. A business, where I buy and sells things, and stimulate the economy in the process; at least in my own small way. I don't claim that my gun business is the reincarnation of Interarms, but I do okay.
