It is a bad one. They didn't take him to the Daytona Track Hospital. Prayers to the family it isn't good.

Prayers going, but it doesn't look good. 0 -
It looked like the car behind him hit him right in the head area. I too am worried about his condition. When you wreck at 200 MPH in a 3,500 pound car there is a LOT of energy that has to go someplace. Unfortunately, he absorbed a lot of it. 0 -
From the looks on some faces, it might be bad. 0 -
He hit the wall head on just like Dale Earnhardt 19 yrs tomorrow and then landed on his top after being hit. Blocking ended Dales life too . 0 -
Can't be good. Darn bad it is. 0 -
SF are you down there? Any new updates?

my oldest son showed me a video a few minutes ago .
wow terrible crash and our prayers go out for Ryan
it did not look like a crash anyone could survive, but all the safety systems built in to the cars . I do hope it saved him3 -
This has the Earnhardt feel to it. The spin and roll would be survivable, but the impact from the other car in the midst of the roll looks like it would be fatal. Hope it is not, but just have a bad vibe. 0 -
The longer the media is kept away the worse I feel the worst has happened. Last lap block coming to the finish line. Another bad feeling Donald Trump was present in 2001. 0 -
Replay looks like the hit in mid roll was right at the driver window area...no real protection for intrusion into the drivers space.
NASCAR is not saying a word at this point0 -
The roll cage looked like it was crushed down on the drivers side. 0 -
The hans device could have saved him from the wall hit , however the hit on the top of the car could have broken his neck . I sure hope he survived. I know Sterling Marlin after turning Dale took a lot of flack.. I sure hope Blaney doesn't get the same treatment. NASCAR needs to quit the pushing and blocking. 0 -
Never a good sign when they bring out the black curtain to the scene. 0 -
Almost looked like Hamlin made contact with Blaney and got him loose and pushed down into Newman. 0 -
Well over an hour and no news.. you know the media is at the hospital. 0 -
I do not think any good news is coming . I would have guessed by now a report of serious but stable or in intensive care or similar if that was the case would have been reported .
I hope for the best . but the more time that passes it does not lean toward a good out come0 -
Ryan is 42. My Father died 42 yrs ago today. Praying for Ryan . 0 -
I have a bad feeling about it also.
They only replayed the wreck once and Jeff Gordon appeared visibly sick at the end.
Nothing about it on espn but who won also.
Terrible wreck for sure.

"Gibbs said he didn’t learn of the crash until he was in Victory Lane. He apologized for celebrating with the team in the pit box."
It's 420 miles from my house to the track in Daytona and I could see it just fine on my TV screen. Tokyo Joe said he didn't see it and he was there in person.0 -
Serious condition but non life threatening 0 -
Great news from NASCARS update 3 -
Thanks Joe. Appreciate the update.

thanks Joe 0 -
As good of news as could be expected considering the mechanism of injury and amount of damage to the car.
Hope he recovers fully and quickly.3 -
