Your Best Deal Ever -
For firearms here on Gunbroker, I consider my 1922 Model 1897 Winchester, disassembled and Hot Blued by a gunsmith, replacement furniture (Boyds Mahogany.) No Collector value, but looks/functions as new, as a Shooter. ($350'ish) To be my best online firearms purchase.
2 years ago, Black Friday deal at Tractor Supply - 45cc 18" Poulan Pro chainsaw for $99. Runs like a champ.
Lately - my Stihl 2 in 1 Sharpener, for $19.99/free shipping. (Went up to $49.99 the next day.)
(But) BY FAR MY BEST DEAL - Was bringing home Buddy from the shelter in Boone, NC. (9 mo. Old, roaming without a collar.) A total Godsend. Best Dog EVER. My best friend/Buddy. ($50 fee waived, because he was a Pit, and they could see we meshed perfectly.) Was there repeatedly for about a week or so before adoption. One person ahead of me on the adoption list. (Never showed up on the day they were to take him.) It was meant to be.
In retrospect, I would also have to add my 1967 GTO purchased for about $1500 in 1982 after my then girlfriend rolled/totalled my new Toyota SR5 Sport Coupe. (Long story.) Spent a lot of time and $$ on that car my final 3 years in the Army. It was Suhweet. Traded it after I got out, for a 1951 Ford pickup with a 351 Cleveland, C10 (?) Auto and Posi rear in it. Spent the next few years building that one. Would LOVE to have either one of those back.

I can't remember all the exact prices but I guess the best deals I've got off of GB include a complete set of Winchester choke tubes, a mixed lot of 300 wsm ammo, same in .243 and I picked up a Weatherby rifle in 375 H&H with a supply of ammo, brass, and reloading dies basically for the price of the ammo. I think I got a pretty good deal on the Remington 1100 I bought from the same seller as you bought the 20ga pump gun from.

Yeah, I am pretty happy with the Mossberg 500 20 ga. pump I scored for $150. It resides bedside. I like that deal also. 😚

I got a “used” Zeiss Conquest 5-20x50 scope with mil-dot reticle in the original box off GB for $350 during the height of the black rifle rush a few years back.
Dropped it on a Rock River 5.56 set up & later a Daniel Defense in 6.8SPc

Might just be my 1994 Ford diesel pickup I bought in 2008 for $500.00. The guy goofed around for three years, said he couldn't get it started. I'd see him about every 3-4 months, and after a year or so I started telling him "Well when you get tired of it, let me know". After about three years he sold it to me. I packed two good batteries over the next day when he was at work. I had it running within an hour. Still have it, and have put probably 60K-70K miles on it. 7.3 Cornbinder diesel, 5 speed transmission.

Probably the best buy on GB was a NIB Cobb MCR-300. 30-06 centennial AR. 100 were manufactured. Bought it for well under list price from Kasey. Not a real practical weapon due to its size, but it is very accurate and a fun rifle to shoot.

Off Gunbroker that'll be my Sommer Und Ockenfuss "shorty" Marksman in 308Win. Sold a pair of Matsuda sunglasses (like the one Sarah Connors wore on "T2" but not the cable ears) for $1300 or there abouts where I had $350 tied up. I think the S+O was $1500? Out of pocket $500?
Then there's my '94 Chevy Caprice "9C1" That I talked the price down from $3600 to $2550 where they took the spot light off another car to make the deal. Then few years back I get a fender bender in my Caprice where their insurance paid out $2300? Where I spun that cash to buy a Kriss Vector CBR in 10mm. A near free car and a 10mm carbine.
Now I got S&Ws I bought off gunbroker that's in stupid going prices now. Triple what I paid 20 years ago. The 10mm magazines are trading at "C" note a pop used. Wish I bought a six pack of them 1076 at $400 way back when.

Not sure one of my favorites is a engraved S&W I got here, probably best deal ever was the house we just bought for 40K and yes we took the wheels off.
I bought a boat from a guy at work once that I knew well and had been out fishing in it, his wife made him sell it, I got it for around 700 and sold it the next day for 2K.
Lady asked me why I was selling it so cheap, I told her the truth I got a great deal and didn't really want it.

I bid $225 on a whim for a barely-used blued Ruger Bisley Vaquero in 357 that came with a leather cowboy holster and cartridge belt, not even expecting to win it because the belt and holster alone are about $130+ or so brand new. I had to explain that one when I won.

On GB, pair of 9422's hand checkered, hand fit, custom shop, very low serial numbers at one time belonging to the president of Winchester. Buying price too low to post and current value, won't post that either.

Off of GB, a Stefano Fausti DEA .410 SxS in the case for $1K, because the seller listed it by the importers name. Most I ever paid for a gun, but $2K cheaper than it was worth.

So far my best deal on GB is the early 70's 50 caliber TC Hawken. Don't recall exact price, but it was less than $250 shipped.
The Best screaming deal I've ever gotten was my 1955 Mercury station wagon. Bought it from a neighbor for $50. New battery, points and condenser and the big old beast came to life. Doc told me the odometer had been turned over twice and I managed to put another 20K+ on it before a drunk rear ended me at a red light and shoved me into the intersection in front of a concrete truck.

I was at a farm auction and had my eye on the stand for an above ground 300 gallon gas tank. I just wanted the stand.
Someone had written in chalk that the tank had water in it. Nobody bid except me and I got the works for $3. It was about 1/2 full so around 150 gallons.
Just a mile from my place and it took all my gas cans and barrels to get it light enough for my loader tractor to lift to get it home.
I drained about a 1/2 gallon of water out of it and burned the rest of that 150 gallons in my vehicles. Still got the tank and stand outside the shop.

That one hurt a tiny bit. One of the wholesale guys from RSR had me thinking I was crazy for not buying 10 of them.....so I got one of each caliber just to see what they would do. I liked the rifle myself and it was the first Cobb I had dealt with since they started making the AR types. You win some and you lose some....that one was a kick in the lady balls for sure.

I am still waiting on my best deal to come along . I have made a couple dollars here and there but never much maybe a couple hundred on a car or truck sale . my story if I broke even I was glad . I am like charlie brown on Halloween ( I got a rock ) sums up most of my deals .

Here on GB in 2003 I bid on a German (Suhl) made 54 caliber jaeger muzzle loading rifle. It was in near mint condition especially being nearly 180 years old! My bid of 700 dollars won me that fine piece of history!
If I shared more of my good fortunes, the FEDS would be after me!
