Another long time Gun Broker Forum member has passed......Doc, will be missed.
From Facebook....
My wonderful, beautiful husband of 29 years passed away last night. He died of pancreatic cancer. My heart is broken. Thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. If you have any special memories of Al (or Frank as you may have known him) feel free to send them to me at sherrillatimer@gmail.com. (I rarely look at FB so a posting here will probably go unread.) He will be missed but never forgotten.

I am deeply saddened. We all suspected that his health was in decline, but this news is hard to accept. May years ago, Doc- who I still called Saxon Pig, sent me this novelty M1 pen:
There was no reason for the gift, Doc simply said that he saw it in a shop and thought I might like it. I did like it, and I kept it. Now I'll treasure it. RIP Saxon Pig.

Rest in peace, Doc. Always enjoyed your posts and the pictures you shared of your wonderful firearms collections.
Say hi to Capt. Midnight and all the others who have gone on ahead for us.

He was a wealth of knowledge...I loved all the hobbies he had, martial arts, historical reenactments, his cars, old motorcycle and the story of when he first got it. He LOVED his wife and he posted about how impressed he was with her, even after years of marriage. He was an amazing person.

Sad to hear, wanted to meet Frank and tried to catch him at a show in LR a time of two, but never connected.
RIP Frank.

Intelligent person and enjoyed to read his posts on various subjects. The IQ of the planet tilted down a nudge now.🙁

Shock to hear, forgot about his problem. Prayers lifted.

Dammit.
He was a great mentor over the years & I would say we were friends. I didn’t really keep in touch outside of the boards once I moved to Florida.
You will be missed sir.
Say hello to our mutual friend Waylon.

One of the most respected people this forum has had. If there was such a thing as a virtual wake, GUNBROKER forum members would be lined up around the block.

Sad, sad news. Doc was a heck of a guy. I count myself privileged to have met him and visited with him in his home, long ago.
Rest in peace, Saxon Pig!
