Just tried a new (to us) casserole tonight.
Alfredo + onion + etc. sauce, noodles, cauliflower, french cut green beans, leftover rotisserie chicken breasts. Yummm
Had enough leftovers to freeze 4 packs, for future dinners.

just finished putting cubed steak in crock pot, will have baked steak, sweet potatoes and gravy, and mac and cheese, baked beans, last two for grandkids, been craving boston creme pie for long time, so think it will be for dessert, tuesday is my birthday so this is the "family" birthday dinner.......

suns out today, still a little chilly though, but I'm gonna grill a tri-tip and the other half just made potato salad, probably also have some ranch beans and garlic bread... and of course a few cold beers.

I bought a big 20 pound bag of Idaho potato's CHEAP at the local Gordon's Food Service. It is a place that caters to restaurants and smaller mom & pop grocers but open to the public. Big quantities are the norm there. Anyway, had a craving for some scalloped potato's with ham augratinized with some sharp cheddar cheese.
Got er done around 11 this morning except for the baking and have been enjoying a few beers as I smell the pleasant aroma as the casserole cooks! 😋

School bread. Growing up all we ever had as kids was home made bread of some sorts.
When we started school we were exposed to light bread for sammiches. Thus "school bread"

Yes I did. Still miss my aunts cat head biscuits.
She kept them in the top compartment of the wood cook stove. Come in after school and hit the kitchen. Yum, Yum.

I'm gonna make some pintos first in the insta pot, then use it to make some Chilli (no beans in Texas chilli) besides my other half won't eat beans so after she get her chilli I'm adding beans to mine! I like it with or without, but at the competitions no beans allowed for real Texas chilli.... flame on!
