Do you mean a model 1897 shotgun?? How do you slam fire a lever gun?? You would pinch your finger. Great movie though.

Great old movie
Too much violence and was edited for TV I will guess
But the uncut version is a good old fashion shoot up blood and violence movie I have watched it many times

I don't recall seeing that one. I'll have to look around and see if I can stream it. I was thinking of this one:
I just had my Winchester 1897 cut down to 20 inches from 30. Looks / handles so much better.

When I was very young, my two uncles shared the use of a Win 97 shotgun. In the middle 80's they said the barrel may be a "mite loose".........that dang barrel flopped around like a fish outta water.......and asked if I could fix it.
Pulled out the old Numrich Arms book, and soon found out that "someone" had left a few parts out upon "reassembly". Funny thing is.......that after fixing the dang thing......AND showing them it worked correctly..........neither of them wanted it.
It's still somewhere in my gun room.......aka my Fortress Of Solitude. 🤫

Movie was set in 1915 Mexico. Filmed in 1966. A Very good Movie.

as far as slam fire Ithica model 37 shotguns would also allow that

We’ve ridden mules down in the Valley of Fire ( between Mesquite and Las Vegas NV) where many scenes from this movie was filmed. a few remnants of the movie set remain near “The White Domes” which can be seen multiple times in the background.
But it is a good flick.

But fell asleep lol
So tonight will try again

With out details ther is many free apps to watch just about ever TV show or movie from silent movies to whats about to be released
Tubi ,cinema ate just two ,and many more they allow search by year catagory like western mystery or what ever you like

I looked on those free streaming services and didn't see it. Rented it off Amazon and enjoyed it. I don't think I've seen it before. I like the assortment of guns they had. They fit the time period.

Yeah, I haven't watched that one in long time. I recall it being somewhat depressing and wouldn't go out my way to watch again, any time soon.
