    Whew! Glad you are o.k.!

Looks totaled to me. Avoiding a head on collision about 15 Years ago I rolled my Blazer and it didn't look as bad as that. Insurance company totaled it without any argument on my part.

Don't be surprised if you are a bit stiff and sore tomorrow as it took a couple of days for me to develop some aches after the rollover. Bob

I will brake for animals but I will not swerve for animals. Just for reasons like this. There is enough damage there you could have been badly hurt or worse. A stray dog or someone's pet is not worth you getting buggered up.

Glad you're okay, Kasey. The car can be replaced. You, on the other hand, can't!

    Any word on the dog?

Well Damm. Glad you're OK, the car crumpled but still protected the precious cargo inside, job done. Yep, looks total to me too. As said, it can be replaced.

Glad you’re ok. So what caused the damage, did you roll the car or just go into a ditch?

I swear...after slamming the breaks on I cannot tell you one thing that happened. It was over before I knew what was going on. There wasn't a ditch...just wet roads and a dog that disappeared. It happened last week. I had some seat belt marks, but nothing more. My legs are a bit stiff.....but I think that's mostly from squatting in my car while trying to figure out how to get out of the crazy thing. People kept running up to the window and running away. I couldn't hear what anyone was saying because of all the rain and blinking lights going off in the car. Finally they got the rear hatch open and I got out that way.

Ok I got it pictured now. Coming too, the cars on its side. Had to be like waking up in the twilight zone. Glad nothing more serious than a stiff leg.

as for me every wreck I have had ( and not bragging trust me ) I had my share and many more

for me time almost stand still at least in slow motion in every wreck I have been in .

I know they have some scientific explanation of how our brain perceives it

    any every one is different

I hope the car was not full of gun boxes 😁

Wine a;t dinner can make those dogs look pretty big!

Mushrooms can do the same thing.

Are you sure it was not an alien abduction?

D-R may have nailed it, shifting gun boxes

Or in the words of Rosanne Rosannadana (SNL), "It just goes to show, it's always something." Glad you're Okay!

Glad to hear you are okay.

Went thru head on by drunk driver in 2020. Totaled my wife’s Lexus. We got a good payout from insurance but no where the amount the car was really worth.

The problem is insurance companies still use the old depreciated value method to determine car value. Now many cars last long after their depreciation life.

Looks like the air bags went off. I responded to a minivan that got T-boned & rolled by a tandem dump truck. When I asked where the driver's body was, I heard, "Here I am." 🙄 Not a scratch & he only commented that his good pen got broken. Air bags are life savers. Glad you're OK.

First there can be only one.

If the air bags deployed then you got knocked the buck out.

Say did you buy the Conner/Dunkan MacLeod back in the crazy used car market?

I was told once by a CHP to hit anything smaller than a lab. But this was way back when bumpers were steel.

Glad you're fine. Highlanders are great - and very safe.

I lucked out and had bought my car just before all the craziness started. They have been trying to get me in to trade it back in for the past year....saying ridiculous things like "you'll get more than your payoff in credit if you would like to trade it in on a NEW car." Who wouldn't jump on that offer. The idea that I'd trade it in for half what it was worth to start paying on a NEW thing was comical.

I was very happy with the Highlander.....if I can't get the Grand Highlander I'll probably start shopping for another one like I had. Hopefully I can get the insurance to be reasonable and I'll get what I want.

The issue with the new Highlanders is that you can only get the turbo 4-cyl. It's a brand new engine design, and they say it's great. But....

Nissan has changed direction as well. They have replaced their 2.5 liter engine with a 1.5 liter turbo charged engine. It’s a three cylinder variable compression engine. Someone will have to explain to me how it is variable compression some time. Personally I prefer engines that have proven them selves over time my self.
