GunBroker.com is an online marketplace dedicated to firearms, ammunition, hunting, shooting, outdoor equipment, and related products.
GunBroker.com provides the marketplace where buyers and sellers can connect. With limited exceptions, such as GunBroker-branded merchandise and optional membership programs, GunBroker is not the seller of items listed on the site. Items are listed and sold by independent third-party sellers, and buyers complete their transactions directly with those sellers.
How GunBroker.com Works
Sellers list items for sale using one or more available purchasing formats, including:
- Auction – Buyers place bids, and the highest qualifying bidder wins when the auction ends.
- Fixed Price – Buyers can purchase an item at the price established by the seller.
- BuyNow! – When available on an auction listing, buyers can purchase the item immediately at the seller's BuyNow! price.
After an item is won or purchased, the buyer and seller complete the transaction according to the payment, shipping, and other terms provided in the listing.
GunBroker provides tools to help facilitate this process, including checkout features that allow buyers and sellers to exchange the information necessary to complete the transaction. Payment is made to the seller using one of the seller's accepted payment methods.
Buying Firearms and Other FFL-Required Items
Federal, state, and local laws may regulate the sale, shipment, possession, and transfer of firearms and certain other items.
When a firearm or other item requires an FFL transfer, it generally cannot be shipped directly to an unlicensed buyer. Instead:
- The buyer selects a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) to receive the firearm.
- The seller receives the necessary FFL information.
- The seller ships the firearm to the receiving FFL.
- The receiving FFL completes the required transfer process before releasing the firearm to the buyer.
The receiving FFL may conduct a background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), when required, and will ensure applicable transfer requirements are met. Transfer dealers generally charge the buyer a fee for their services.
GunBroker's FFL Dealer Network, supported through our partnership with Master FFL, helps buyers locate participating FFLs and facilitates the exchange of FFL information needed to complete eligible firearm transactions.
Items that do not require shipment to an FFL may generally be shipped according to the seller's terms and applicable laws and carrier requirements.
