Remington Model 660 .35 rem mag
I recently purchased a Remington model 660 in .35 rem mag. From a local gun shop. I’m questioning if the stock is original to the rifle. It has the soft padded butt plate but has the walnut furniture on it. I asked the shop owner if the stock is original to the gun and he stated that it was and had seen other magnums with out the laminated stock b4. Is he correct? Did I get taken?

Yes, he is correct. I have seen both walnut and laminate. Is the buttplate marked with a Remington logo? Post a picture here and we take a look.
