How big is one caliber
I have a gun that has 38 calibers. It takes two hand and a 2x6 to hold it up. Is 38 a good number of caliber to have?

This has turned into a clown show. Anyone going to break it to them?

This is my first time back to the forum in a long while. It may be a while yet again.
BTW, are you sure your gun really has 38 calibers, and not 36 calibers ? Just because it's called one thing, doesn't mean it's not something else altogether. There are nuances to such matters.

50 caliber BMG is .50 cal is ½ inch diameter. Therefore, 1.00 caliber is one inch in diameter. Your 38 is .38 inches or a little more than ⅓ of an inch. The previous 2 comments are inappropriate; why bother?

Thanks for explaining that. In hindsight, that should have been obvious to me. Feels bad. However, you don't know what you don't know.
