Can anyone tell me what this mag goes to? Looks like a 30 rd. for an intermediate cartridge along the lines of 5.56

  I looked at several of mt AK mags and the top has those two “humps” , mine don't have. Perhaps for the 5.56 but don't have any to compare it to. But you are on the right path with your assumption.
