Any way of contacting the winner of an auction that I got out bid on?
Lost out last night on a parts lot for a Webley Mark 1 455. I'm only needing 2 screws and a barrel lock and the lot sold for over $900 for a parts lot excluding the frame. Bit of a stretch to pay for a couple of screws and one part. I often buy parts lots for project guns and turn around and sell the unneeded parts. I'm hoping the buyer maybe in the same boat.
Thanks

Unfortunately we don't have a “want it” page anymore, so your needs can't be listed. Asking the seller for the buyers contact information would be unethical on his part. Asking the seller to contact the buyer to remind him who helped bid up the parts, now wants to buy some of those parts!!!!, guess where this will go. You don't want to get humilated so I would keep looking for those parts, good luck.

thorhammer and grasshopper seem to be assuming a lot. How do you know how much mallorysdad bid on the lot? He might have bid $50.00 and 10 other bidders bid it up to $900. Why would you assume the winner wouldn't like to recoup some of that $900.00? Also mallorysdad contacting the seller is not unethical if he asked him to relay mallorysdad's info to the buyer and then it's up to the buyer if he wants to reach out to mallorysdad.
