Verrrrry sad day
Today we moved one of my best and longest lived friends into assisted living. Most all of our friends are gone. His kids aren't much help. “What did you do with Mom's jewelry?” It is a very nice place and thank GOD they allow pets. And most importantly Julie and I are only a phone call and 7 miles away. Dammit, just dammit. $5,000 per month, everything is provided and he has his own apartment. At least the kids won't get his $$$$. We live in a small town so I believe he knows some of the residents. He refers to me as his Uber driver as we take him to all his Reno, Nv. doctor appointments. Exchanging logging and trucking stories all the way. He says we could write a book but no one would believe it. My GOD, some of the things we did back then still give me a shiver.

This could be a very fitting epitaph for these forums.

The three of us whom are still here agree with you. But like I said to my ex wife, “It was great while it lasted!”.

So many fine guys and gals of past years are gone and others missed. It truly is a ghost town
