New Upcoming Gunbroker Payment Method Changes
News directly from Gunbroker to us sellers who don't currently accept immediate checkout with credit cards. Gunbroker has notified us that we must change over to accept immediate checkout with credit cards as they will be implementing that process change on some unknown future date. When I complained to Gunbroker Support over the upcoming change they also informed me that they would no longer allow other methods of payment in the future including any types of checks or money orders. Therefore, credit cards only with immediate checkout. Around half of my customers prefer to pay with either Certified Checks or USPS money orders now to avoid the extra credit card fees. However, that is all going to change sometime next year with no date yet in mind for that to start. Apparently some users had complained to Gunbroker that the current payment method system is too "confusing" and thus the need for an overhaul.

This got me the good ol' “Pending Approval” 4 times in a row, trying to post it just now. Guess they don't like hearing the truth. Time for a loophole.

Looks like I will be purchasing from my LGS or Cabela's. In WV there is no tax on firearms or ammo and the big C has no shipping charges if over $50, saves quite a bit. I never pay with a credit card because of the extra charges. I have always paid with a personal check or mostly USPS money orders and never had an issue. I hate to see this happen but nothing I can do about it, just buy somewhere else

I'm hoping it is not true, and have heard nothing from Gunbroker about it.
I reckon I'll wait and see. I hate change, but sometimes I've had to.

Does this mean that a regular Joe Schmoe who might sell a item once a year will be forced to accept credit cards and nothing else?

IF Gunbroker follows through with their announcement, then every user would have to accept credit cards with immediate checkout for purchases. I would encourage anyone who is concerned about this to file a complaint with Gunbroker to voice their concerns. If enough users complain then they might backoff.
